Origami Box

Hi Everybody

First of all I would like to  say hello and welcome to my two new followers. You are so kind  to join my blog friends.

Today I want to show you an origami box that I saw on Ribbons Flowers and Pearls and you can find a video tutorial  Here.

I do like to make boxes and like the Flap Boxes I showed in an earlier post, the body of this box is made from one sheet of 12 x 12 double sided card, plus extra for the lid. It can be made smaller depending on the size of your square of card. I think it looks so pretty. I used this piece of card because it's not exactly my favourite so I thought if I ruined it it wasn't the end of the world. I know I should have probably made it in paper first to try - but I'm impatient!! And it turned out okay. Just imagine what you could put in here to make a lovely gift! And it can be as plain or ornate as you like. I'm going to have another go soon and see what else I can do with it.

and finally the lid

I know it seems like a lot of pictures but I wanted to show it from different angles.

Well that's my post for today. I do hope you like the box and perhaps decide to try it yourself. Have a great day everybody.

With love from Christine xx

Thank you for visiting my blog and for the comments you leave. I appreciate each and everyone of them.

Hello Christine, I made one of these boxes ages ago which I gave to my Mum but never was able to find a tutorial for making a lid.....until now thanks to you. Yours has turned out superbly, very pretty indeed. I'm going to make another one now I can do a lid for it lol.
Cheers,
Elaine

WOW! Christine LOVE this box. This kind of thing is right up my street, I made one from a Tutorial I found while Blog Hopping last year. I did it with a Christmas theme and gave to a friend with a little gift in it. Love all your embellishments.

Hi again,
This is just full of fabulousness (is that even allowed in the English dictionary? Ah who cares, it's such a gorgeous word!)
This box is such a lovely design and I adore it filled with shredded tissue and little gifts. It works wonderful for handmade jewellery etc and also for sending a special gift package to a crafty friend full of handmade flowers too.
The paper you have used is beautiful and with the lovely embellishments this is another wonderful Christine Creation.
