One Of A kind

Hi blog friends

I hope you are all well. I have scheduled my card today. The electricity is going to be off from 8am to 4:30 pm today while they chop down some trees that are affecting the lines. Now that is an awful long time to be off!! If the weather is reasonable then we will go out for the day. If not then it will be a case of keeping warm in the kitchen. Fortunately we have a woodburner in the kitchen which also  incorporates a small oven, so we will be nice and warm as long we don't venture off  into other rooms. We have a barn of a house (not literally!) but it is large and open plan and requires a lot to keep it warm in the winter. Why they can't chop the trees down in the warmer weather beats me! Anyway, I think it's a good time to have lunch out, don't you?

My card is my usual 6x6 in size. I have used an LOTV topper which I have matted onto purple Bazzil Basics using Spellbinders Labels 1. The backing paper is a piece I found in my stash and there was no name on it but I remember it from a few years ago as part of a 12x12 scrapbook paper. The corner dies are Cheery Lynne Lace Corner Deco C dies. The spotted organza ribbon and the pearls are from my stash.

So that is it for today. Hope you all have a good day.

Love and hugs from Christine xx

Great card, love the colours, that image is so sweet.

Know the feeling Christine, no electricity, big house and only the open fire. We have the gas cooker which so we can still keep cooking, but it still hard to keep warm.
Cutting down tress in warmer weather...............come on that`s too much to ask these so called clever people the even think about......!!!!!
It is like having to apply to S.E.P.A for a "licence" to dig out the field ditches to stop the fields flooding. The fields flood, the roads flood the houses flood but please don`t disturb the "Wild Life" that live in the ditches!!!!! We are just about round the bend with officaldum round here after the really bad flooding. We are OK but some other have not been so lucky including my friend Pearl.
Have a Great Day whatever they throw at you

Christine, hope you didn't get to cold while your electric was off. How stupid can these people get they should have had the trees down before winter started or waited till later. They will be using up last years budget as they wouldn't get so much this year if they had money left.

Another beautifull card. Hazel

What a lovely card, such a sweet card!
Hope you got for your lunch out, & then home to sit by your wood fire.
I am from the Land of Oz, so much warmer over here atm, but with a fair bit of rain too, so quite humid.
Be lovely to see you at the CCC.
Hugs xx
