OSAAT Challenge # 231 - "Anything Goes ..... Birthdays"

Good afternoon to you all.  Sorry I'm being such a bad blogger right now.  Life seems to be a bit hectic at the moment and I am also involved with a project with our WI group which has a deadline.

Anyway, I'm here with a card for One Stitch At A Time. The challenge is "Anything Goes ..... Birthdays", so this is a nice easy one.  My card features Sunflowers from Barb Jenson which can be found at our sponsor Stitchy Bears Digital Outlet

My Card

Recipe
7" square card - AnnaMarie Designs
Pearlescent cardstock - Create and Craft (bought at Wilko's)
Yellow backing paper - very old stash
Ribbon - Offray
Dies - Floral Ovals from Spellbinders
Sentiments - JustRite Grand Sentiments
Damask embossing folder - Couture Creations
Coloured with Promarkers
Pearls from stash

This card was a nice easy one to put together.  I thought the different shades of yellow suited the sunflower. The tiny yellow sunflower I found stuck to something else (as happened to me recently ... lol!) which I used months ago so I decided to pop it onto the centre of the bow.  I used the smallest die from Floral Ovals and just stamped a tiny sentiment onto each one.

I hope you decide to join us in the challenge this time.  If you pop across to OSAAT you can see some inspiration from the DT and this is the prize you could win.

Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Christmas Card Club Challenge # 4 - Snowy Trees

Good morning friends, crafters and fellow bloggers.  Thanks for dropping by to visit today.  Well another fortnight has sped by and it time to share a card with the rest of our little Christmas Card Club.  It is Mary's turn to choose and her choice is Snowy Trees.  Now this is not the card I intended to make.  I have a lovely stamp which is actually called Forest and I had everything ready to go - and then my stamp disappeared from my desk.  Unbelievable!!!! After a very long search I eventually gave up because time was marching on and I needed to make a card. In the end I settled for two pre-coloured digis from Pink Gem and merged them.

My Card

Recipe
Images - Winter Fence and Snowy Hugs from Pink Gem Designs
Background Papers - Traditional Christmas from Papermania
Create a Flake 4 - Spellbinders
 Snowflake punch - Xcut
Pearls from stash

The card is so simple it speaks for itself.  I didn't add a sentiment because the paper does that for me.  I added lots of glitter to the trees, hats and gloves although it barely shows in the picture.  I also used some 3D snow effect on the fence posts to add a little dimension.

If you want to see what the rest of the girls have done then you will find their contact details in my right sidebar.  Thank you for this lovely challenge Mary and  I hope you will pop back in a few days to see "Snowy Trees - Take 2" ... lol!

I hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend.

By the way, I found my stamp so I will make the card I had originally planned and post it in a few days.  You know what these cling stamps are like - it had attached itself to the back of a die pack which was also on my desk and I just kept moving it around.  It came to light when I was filing away my die in the box and it dropped off as it rubbed against another die.  Grrr!  Ah well, at least I have found it, although I knew it wasn't really lost because one minute it was there and the next - poof!

We Are All Special

Hello to you all.  Hope this finds everybody well and enjoying some reasonable weather.  It is lovely to see so many snowdrops everywhere and some of the trees are starting to bud too.  I know February can be a bad month but although today is not sunny it is much warmer so I'm hoping Spring will not be a million miles away ... lol!

My Card

Recipe
7" x 5" card base
Pink pearlescent card - Jelly Bean
Garden Trellis embossing folder - Spellbinders
Provence die - Creative Expressions French Collection
Sentiment - LOTV stamp
Leaf die - Wreath Strip, Cheery Lynn
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Ribbon - Offray
Pearls from Stash

This die is one that I bought last year and I haven't yet used and it is so pretty.  I am determined to go through my stash and start using up things I bought because I loved them and put them in the box or drawer and left it at that.  Shameful!!

Take care.

OSAAT Challenge # 230 Anything Goes ..... With Love

Good afternoon dear friends,  crafters and fellow bloggers.   Hope this finds you all well.

It's time for the  One Stitch At A Time  challenge again.  This time the theme is "Anything Goes ... With Love" .  My image is Mushroom Town from Alipeeps which can be found at our sponsor Stitchy Bear Digital Stamp Outlet.   As you see I chose to make a new home card.

My Card

Recipe
6" x 6" white card base
White and Red cardstock from stash
Patterned paper - Papermania "Go Green" from Born To Shop.
Birds on a Wire - Spellbinders
Pearls from stash

Sentiment - computer generated
Promarkers to colour

I used the Birds on a Wire die because on the background paper, amongst the foliage, are some birds, although they don't show up too well in the photo.

This is what you could win, so we would love to see you join us in this challenge.

Christmas Card Club Challenge # 3 - Jolly Santa

Good morning to you all and thanks for dropping by.  Today it is time for another card from our friendly little group who make our Christmas cards throughout the year so that we don't have a mad panic close to the time.  If you would like to join us please let me know.  You can find the blogs of my other CCC pals on my right side bar.  The lovely Lorraine has chosen for her theme this week "Jolly Santa".

My Card

Recipe
5" scalloped card base
Snowflake Lattice embossing folder - Creative expressions
Holly Corner - Cheery Lynn
Image - Cuddly Buddly
Pearls - from stash

I have kept my card simple and flat enough for minimum postage.  I think Santa and his two pals knew the theme this week because they are all smiling.

The weather is still bitterly cold and although we don't have the amount of snow forecast I think this a day to be spent inside crafting.  As if we need an excuse !!!

Keep warm and well.
