Autumn Colours at IAAS Challenge # 93

Good morning.  It's time for another challenge at IAAS  and as you see it is to use autumn colours on your project.  Autumn is well and truly here now so it is the perfect challenge.

Please scroll down if you are looking for Christmas Card Club post.

My Card

I made my 7" square base card from cream card stock by Craft UK.  I love their card, it is such good quality and I love that I can make larger cards since it is A3 size.  The kraft card is from Hobbycraft and the hessian is on a pad from DCWV, It is great because it is backed with card stock which makes it so easy to use on cards. I used Presscut circle stitched dies and a Sue Wilson sentiment die. The acorns and leaves  are from dies of the same name by JND. I made the leaves from oddments in my box.

It is my nephew's birthday in a couple of weeks so this will be perfect for him. And for once I'm really ahead with his card - yay!

Why not pop across to the blog  and see the great cards my teamies have made  for the challenge?

Hope you are all well and enjoying your weekend.

Gifts, Ribbons and Bows at Christmas Card Club

Good morning to you all. Well the weather is definitely autumnal now although the sun is shining albeit with a very chilly breeze.

It's time for another card for our Christmas Card Club and this time Zoe chose the theme.

Card #1

This uses an image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps and is called Elliot and Elvis. The backing paper is from Delicious Doodles and it is coloured with Promarkers. The sentiment die is Sue Wilson and I just mounted it onto a piece of white card to make it stand out against the busy background.

Card # 2

 Card # 2

This one uses a topper from LOTV.  I still have a few toppers which come to light every now and then and this one was perfect for the challenge. The sentiment stamp is from Little Claire and I have used Spellbinders dies throughout.  The gorgeous striped ribbon is from the local haberdashers and I have it in various colours.

I'm up to my eyes in crafting stuff for our WI members. Just when we thought we were going to be able to re-start our meetings the regulations changed again so that is no longer possible. But we all need to do the best we can to keep this virus under control and if this is what it takes then so be it. I make a card and we include a gift for each missed meeting.  We are going to have to put our thinking caps on and try to work out things which are not too expensive since it might be many months yet before we can get together - and we are not able to raise any funds either so it is a case of being careful and following the rules of what we can and can't do! 😉😊

Well take care and enjoy your weekend.  I'll be back tomorrow with my DT card for International Art and Soul.

Sentiments for Christmas Card Club

Good morning and apologies to Rachel and my CCC friends for being so late with my card. The theme this time is Christmas Sentiments.

Card #1

Recipe
7" x 5" card - made from Limetree Crafts card stock
acetate - Limetree Crafts
sentiment paper - unknown digital from stash
snowflake die - The Works

This was the most difficult card to photograph! From the front I caught my own reflection, turning to one side I got the reflections from the hedge outside, turning it the other way I got the reflection of the trees, (we have two very large windows), I was also catching the reflection of the vertical blinds, when I closed them trying to stop the reflections, making it look striped! Arrgh! Ready to scream at this point. I really cannot believe I actually managed to get this with no reflection in the end having moved things around the room into various positions. If at first you don't succeed try, try, try again - and again, and again and again ....😁😂

Card# 2

This one is an extremely simple card.  The image is from a 12" Christmas paper pad which I bought from Crafters Companion a couple of years ago. There are four lovely images on the page. I just matted it onto turquoise card stock, attached it to 7" base card and added pearls. Easy peasy.  Two very flat cards to post.

Tic Tac Toe at IAAS

Good day to you all. I hope it finds you well.  We have some sunshine here in Oxfordshire which is rather pleasant since it has been like winter lately and been lighting the wood burners.

We had some fun this time around with a Tic Tac Toe grid, chosen by DT member Jane.  Ifollowed the left vertical column and  used up some Hunkydory scraps I found in my box to make this card that I will be sending to my sister.

My Card

We had fun this time with the tic toe grid so please pop over to the blog and check out he DT makes and perhaps join in with us.

Take care.

Snowmen and Snow at Winter Wonderland

Good morning.  We have a new challenge at Winter Wonderland today and the theme is Snowmen and Snow.  Our fabulous sponsor is Bugaboo Digi Stamps and the DT are all using Jodie's images from Bugaboo.

My Card

Recipe
DL base card  made from Crafter's Companion black card stock
red card stock  from stash
Falling Snow e/f - Sue Wilson
Promarkers to colour

I decided to rearrange my snowmen from their original square block to a column so that I could make a DL card. I embossed the left side of the white card. Initially my idea was to arrange die cut snowflakes down this side but I liked it as it was so thought I would leave it very CAS. This is very different for me but I really like the effect.

Please hop over to the blog and see what my teamies have come up with for this challenge and maybe you will be inspired to join in with us - but please remember we are a Christmas blog so your project must be Christmas/holiday themed.

The weekend is almost upon us so I hope you have a great weekend, especially if you have any plans.

Take care.

Say It With a Sentiment at 12 MoC

Hello to you all.  I am back with my card for the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.  As always you can make whatever you like for our challenge as long as it is Christmas. However, we do have a twist each month and this time the twist is to use a sentiment or word art as the focus of your card. You are welcome to us an image too but the sentiment must have top billing, not the image. If you want the chance to win this month's featured paper pack be sure to follow the twist. Our sponsor is Decosse's Dynamite Doodles.

Create a Scene at Moving Along With The Times

Good morning.  Gosh I can scarcely believe it is September already.  Where on earth has this year gone? I have heard some people say that time is dragging with lock  down etc, but to me it simply flies by. It is no sooner Monday than suddenly Sunday appears again ... lol. 😉😊

Our challenge at Moving Along With The Times this month is to create a scene.

My Card

Recipe
white card stock -  Ross Papercraft
black card stock - Rymans
tree embossing folder - Nellie Snellen
Finleys Trees dies - John Next Door
deer scene die - John Next Door
sentiment die - Sue Wilson

This 3D card folds flat into a 5" x 7" envelope.  I followed a tutorial from Maxine Payne. I embossed the Nellie Snellen  folder twice and trimmed different side to fit and make a slightly different scene on each side of the card. It is rather difficult to see in real life the folder is lovely. Even though it is not 3D it is very deeply embossed. This card  was so easy to do that I have also made one with flowers which I will show at a later date. Lashings of glitter gives  a very frosty, winter feel to it.

Pop across to the blog to see what the other DT members have made for this challenge.  I don't think you will be disappointed.

Take care and enjoy your day.
