It's WINTER at IAAS

Good afternoon . It's time for my DT friends, and me, to post in a new challenge at IAAS.  Tricia chose the topic of Winter.  It was very wintry here this morning with quite a bit of frost around.

If you are here for my Christmas Card Club card I'm afraid it won't be posted until Monday.

My Card

I used one of the decoupage pages from one of the packs I brought from The Works. I used 2mm foam dots for the decoupage because I didn't want to have to pay the extra postage.  It doesn't look much in the image but in real life youcan actually see the decoupage really well.

Why not pop over to IAAS and see what my teamies have made for this challenge.

Stay safe and warm.

Wreath for Christmas Card Club

Good morning and hope you are are well.  We have had some extremely frosty morning and yesterday didn't warm up until after lunch. However, today it is bright and sunny, albeit chilly.  A lovely morning to go for a nice long walk. I chose the theme this time and as you see I have gone with wreaths.

My Card

I used an 8 inch piece of cardstock, diecut a circle for the centre, embossed and then folded the card.

I used John Lockwood dies - snow flower, poinsettia, various leaves and twigs. The sentiment is a Sue Wilson die. I used a piece of acetate sandwiched between two circle diecuts   from Crafts Too stitch hole round dies and which I embossed with a falling snow folder from Crafters Companion. The centres are Nuvo Crystal dies.

Enjoy your day.

Candy Canes or for a child at Winter Wonderland

Good  morning from a very cold and frosty Oxfordshire. Time for Winter Wonderland today. We don't have a sponsor this time so our cards are just for fun, but you still need to follow the theme which is Candy Canes and/or For a Child.

My Card

I have used an image from the Nitwits Collection "Gnome for Christmas".  There are are some fabulous images and papers in this digital collection so you are really spoilt for choice.  I think my image covers the brief - gnomes are such great fun and can therefore be for adults or children, and I also have a candy cane in there too. I just used Sue Wilson Noble Pierced rectangles to cut the image and mat.

Why not pop across to the blog and see the great cards from the rest of the team.

Take care and stay warm.

12 Months of Christmas Link Up - Red and White Option

It's the beginning of the month and time for another challenge at the 12 Months of Christmas Link Up.

Our challenge group is different - you can win something simply by entering. If you want the chance to win this month's featured paper pack, use BOTH RED and WHITE prominently on your card.

Keep in mind though, that you don't need to follow the twist to link up your cards and earn a free paper each month or for a chance to win THREE digi sets of your choice (up to $14) from this month's sponsor, Imagine That Digistamp. You simply need to follow the twist if you'd like a chance to win this month's featured digital paper pack, Vintage Damask 2: Red & White Collection (you can see a preview for this set by clicking HERE).

My Card

I have used Mice Skate from Imagine That Digi Stamps and the two papers I have used are from DDDoodles.

Please pop over to the blog and see what the Sleigh Belles team have made for this challenge and then visit again mid month and see the cards from the Merry Maidens.  You might be inspired to join us and get ahead with your Christmas cards - not too long now!😉

Take care.

MAWTT Anything but a Card

Good morning and hope this finds you well. It is  time for a new challenge at Moving Along With The Times and this time we don't want to see any cards. This leaves a whole range of crafting projects and we're looking forward to seeing yours.

My Project

I am in a Craft and Laugh group which is part of our WI. We have just starting meeting again about a month ago. We are a small group and are able to socially distance in the Village Hall where we meet. Throughout the lockdowns we were obviously unable to meet physically but some of the ladies met on zoom.  Our Village Tea Rooms was obviously closed too so last Christmas we asked if we could decorate the two windows and they were delighted. We were then asked to do an Easter theme and then a summer theme.  We have now been asked to do a Halloween/Autumn theme. The Halloween things will be coming down in the morning and we will be putting up all the autumn stuff.  This is a wreath I made along with other stuff. I used all John Lockwood dies. The community have been rally pleased with our efforts and we have had a lot of lovely feedback. I don't think it will come as a surprise if they ask to do more Christmas windows.

Why not pop over to the blog and check the  diverse projects from the rest of the DT? We would love to see something you have made too.

Take care.
