All About Love/Hearts at IAAS

Good morning.  It's time for another challenge at IAAS.  This time the theme is All About Love/Hearts. You can make your project a card/ album page/ mixed media etc as long it features hearts or love.

My Card

I found this image in my Greeting Card Factory Deluxe and I couldn't resist it.  We have never sent each other Valentine cards but I thought it would be very amusing to give to John. He will chuckle at the sentiment too.

Why not pop over to the blog and check out the projects from the rest of the DT.

I hope none of you suffered too badly from the storm yesterday or the one due today. We had very high winds yesterday but it is a beautiful sunny morning right now.

Take care.

The True Meaning of Christmas at Christmas Card Club

Good morning. It is my turn to choose the theme for our cards this time and as you can see I decided on The True Meaning of Christmas.  I think, in all the hustle and bustle of shopping, presents, decorations etc we sometimes forget what Christmas is really all about.

My Cards

I used clear embossing ink and Detail Silver embossing powder on this lovely stamp.

This card uses a die from Memory Box. The way it cuts means that you can get two cards with alternate colours with just one pass.  Quite clever really.  I don't know why I don't use it more often. The sentiment is from my pack of peel offs from about twenty years ago.

Last time Kate chose black and gold and I liked that so much that this time I went for black and silver. The first one is slim line one (not big enough to be DL) and the second one is A6.  Very difficult to photograph because the mirror card caught the light in the first one and in the second one the camera didn't pick up the glitter behind the silver circle.  They do look better in real life - but you'll have to take my word for that.

Anyway, that's it from me. Have a good day.

Getting Inky for IAAS

Good afternoon. It's time for a new challenge at IAAS and this time the theme is "Get Inky".

My Card

I sponged three colours through a mask. The flower and leaves were previously die cut and were in my box. They were all white so I inked the flower to match. The flower and leaves are John Next Door, the sentiment is fromTonic Studio and the purple mat is Noble Pierced Squares from Sue Wilson.

Why not pop over to the blog and check out what my team mates have come up with?

Take care.

Black and Gold for Christmas Card Club

Well here I am with my first Christmas cards for 2022. This is a great way to get ahead by making a few Christmas cards every couple of weeks which is what our Christmas Card Club is all about. Kate choose the theme of black and gold for our first challenge.

My Cards

Both cards are 5" x 7". The first one is a stamp from Woodware ans embossed with the gold. The second is die and I can't for the life of me remember the manufacturer. When it comes to me I will add it to the post.

Take care and enjoy what is left of the weekend.

MAWTT - Girl/Female

Good morning and hope you are all well.  I haven't started the new year very well I'm afraid.  This should have been posted on January 1st and I totally forgot about it!  I apologise to Diane Louise and the rest of the DT.

My Card

showing inside of card

I added the paper to the card front and then diecut a circle to show the inside. I cut the paper for the inside twice and decoupaged the daisies before stamping the two sentiments  from JustRite stamps.

Take care.

Anything But a Card at IAAS

Happy New Year to all my friends and fellow bloggers.  Hopefully you have enjoyed your Christmas time.If you celebrated New Year then I hope you enjoyed that too.  Me?  I went to bed! 😉😊😄

I chose the theme this time at IAAS and as you see  I went with "Anything but a Card."

My Project

For my great niece and great nephews  I decorated plain kraft gift bags. I used papers and toppers from Dovecraft "Winter Wonderland."  I also made a matching envelope to add a money gift.  My sister always made up gift bags for her grandchildren  and so after we lost her so suddenly a few years ago I took over the job so that the kids didn't miss out. They were all different so I will show the others in a later post.

Why not pop over to the blog and check out what the rest of the team made for this challenge?

Take care.
