Hi dear friends, thank you once again for coming to visit. As you can see, I think I must be in a pink phase. It wasn't intentional but I've just realised this is my third pink card in a row. Note to self - change colours girl!!

I have been going through my stash thinking that I really ought to use up some of it. It's amazing how much you collect over time when you go through different phases of crafting. I was into decoupage for a long time and have quite a lot of images still so I think every now and again I'll stick one in. This image is the Almond Blossom Fairy but since I don't have any almond blossoms I had to settle for cherry blossoms instead. I added just a sprinkling of fairy dust to her wings! The metal butterfly and ribbon are also from my stash. I mounted her onto narrow pink and silver mats and than attached it to the pink pearlescent card with foam pads to add a little dimension. I often don't put on a greeting until I am ready to send the card then I can add the appropriate one as needed, which is why there is a gap at the top of the card.
Well, I hope you all have a good day today.
With love from Christine xx

PS Just checked my blog and wondered why my post wasn't here. I could swear I had scheduled it (I always do!) but it was sitting in drafts!! So here it is now!
Thank you for the lovely comments that you leave. I appreciate each and everyone of them.
Morning Christine, sorry I didn't get to comment yesterday but both today's card and Monday's are just gorgeous. I don't mind your pink phase the colours are so calming and today's fairy is my cup of tea. Like you have so much in my stash that I really should get it out and start using it up but not finding much time for crafting at the moment. Keep up the good work your designs are truly inspiring, love Christine H xx
ReplyDeleteOh! Wow! another beautiful card, so pretty

Have a Great Day

A gorgeous card Christine. I do not put a greeting or label on any of my cards and my customers prefer this as they can leave the card up long after the birthday or occasion is over (or so they tell me!!!!)
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous Christine. I love the pretty Flower Fairy and the layout is so pretty and delicate.

ReplyDeleteHow lovely this is! Decoupage is not one of my strong points and I envy people who make it appear beautifully effortless!
ReplyDeleteHi Christine,
ReplyDeletewonderful card. So pretty and sweet. I love flower fairies. I inherited my mother's fairy plates and ornaments. Couldn't see her precious fairies go to the charity shop, now could I. Had to buy a special piece of furniture to house them. Love you pink faze give me pink any time.lol. Hear I go waffling on again.
Have a wonderful crafty day everyone.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
So pretty card...I love it..thanks you share it with us.Order Business Cards.
ReplyDeleteHi Christine - you always set me off! I have never been into decoupage (or deeecoupage as one blonde lady says on C&C) but I do sometimes do a bit if I have stamped the image myself. However, why is it that I have umpteen pages of it?? Oh well that's me again - having said that I don't know where I have filed it. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI love your card and the design is gorgeous - I like the way you have put your fairy on the lower corner with the flower above it. It looks really really great.
Hugs to you Sue Pxxx

Do you know, I am beginning to think we are a bit alike. I have these exact decoupage fairies. I think they were one of my early C&C or QVC purchases along with a butterfly cardmaking set.
ReplyDeleteI do so love them, but, like you, I haven't used them in an age. I have been trying to use up alot of my old stash as you know but haven't got near my fairies yet. I am still looking longingly at my Big Eyed images (like the Geisha I used a couple of months ago; I adore them. I just think I have too many to choose sometimes. If ever you fancy something different let me know I'll send you some.) Anyway, as always I am waffling, so shut up Linda and get on with it.. LOL!!
This is a really pretty card and I do love the image. Such a cheery little fairy. Your ribbon is so pretty, please may I ask where you purchased it, I have nothing like this and would love something along these lines for my 'romantic' style cards?
Best wishes Linda x
