Here is the card I have made for John. I couldn't decide between Resplendent Rectangles or Diamond Strips and Accents so I used them both - and being greedy I also snuck in a couple of little bits from Marvellous Squares too.

ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary, to you both. I know what you mean by when you are young the thought of being married for 40 years is unthinkable!!! We celebrated yours two years ago. Your card to John is lovely and like you I think burgundy is a better man colour. Enjoy your meal and hope you have many more happy years together. Hazel
Happy Anniversary! Love the colour - if I get asked to make a 40th anniversary card I always go for a deep red such as burgundy..beautiful card, hugs, Carole Z X

Your card is superb I bet he loved it.
It was my 29th Anniversary on the 10th. With hindsight I wish we hadn't got married so close to Christmas as everyone of my family forgets because of all the Christmas preparations.
Have a wonderful day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

ReplyDeleteLove your card for John, stunning.
When John and I were married my father did agree to it. I was only just 18 by a week. He said it would probably not last and we would be surrounded by "Kids". How wrong he was!!! Now heading towards 50 years and only one son.
I came on here this morning and I was sure I left a message. Oh! How silly can one be....................forgot did I not.
Hope you have had a fantastic day
Patricia xx
