Hello

Hello everybody, from a bitterly cold and blustery Oxfordshire!

My Card

Click on image to enlarge picture

My card today is another quick and easy make. I was having   a look through my stash and came upon these Papermania flowers. I knew I had some scrap bits to match  from the Lincoln Linen collection so I cut a couple of pieces in different patterns and used Fiskars Threading Water punch on one of them. I ran another piece of scrap through Couture Creations Damask embossing folder. Finally I used a rub on for the greeting and attached  it to a 5x7  white card. Nice and easy but also, I think, quite effective.

I'm glad I don't have to go out today in this awful weather so maybe I'll spend some time sorting  out my craft stuff. Or maybe I'll just make another card, therefore creating even more mess! LOL! You know that saying about "Creativity is messy - and I am very creative!" ? I think it was meant for me!!

Have a good day everybody.

Love and hugs from Christine xx

  2. Gorgeous card Christine, love your paper match. It is actually getting colder here as we now have a sharp wind coming up. My middle daughter bought me USB handwarmers as a giggle at Christmas and I am using the right hand one today, it actually works. Not so sure that I can craft with them on. Stay warm. xx Flora

  3. Hi Christine, lovely idea, simply but effective. Love the embossing and papers. Just back from walking the dogs and there is a biting wind which cuts right through and the snow is falling again.

  17. Hi Christine,
Just wanted to drop in to let you know that the Brownies did very well with their boxes. I pre-scored all the card for them as that would have taken too long with 26 girls! They then decorated them and put them together. I was working late and had to miss the session but my daughter is one of my Brownies so I received the finished product on Mother's Day! They attached a tag with a list of the box contents which was a Mother's Survival kit. It included items such as a paper clip - to hold it all together; a marble - for when you are losing yours; a Starburst sweet to give you energy when you don't have any, an eraser to remind you that every day you can start anew and a mint to remind you what you are worth to me....
    Thanks again for sharing, Desiree.x
