White With A Touch Of Purple

Good afternoon friends. It was such a beautiful morning that John and I took off on our bikes again for a couple of hours. We cycled just under 20 miles but I failed to make it up the big hill. Boo hoo! I don't feel too bad about it though because the gradient is 14.5% - which is flipping hard let me tell you! Still need to do quite a bit more cycling before the Cotswold ride in a fortnight, but it will come.

My Card

Back in my comfort zone today with some layers. This is a 6x6 card cut from Centura pearl. I used SB Garden Lattice and Marianne Creatables die LR0242. The corners of the main die remind me of strawberries - perhaps I should have backed it with red instead of purple! A few pearls from my stash to finish it off and it was done. The purple card is also pearl although it doesn't show in the picture.

Well I'd better get out into the garden and do some more tidying up. It won't do itself unfortunately!

Enjoy the rest of the day!

Love and hugs from Christine xx

You will do it next time you are out on the bike, there are lots if people would struggle to "walk" up that hill.

  17. Hi Christine,
beautifully superb card. Love that die, and what you have designed with it.
You make me feel very tired talking about your bike ride. You must be very fit, but then you do zumba dancing as well so I know your fit cause you need plenty of energy for that. My son does 40 or 50 miles every Sunday morning. He also goes to the gym and does spinning too. His job is in the banking industry with lots of trips out of the country and lots of sitting about at meetings and such. So he likes to keep fit when he can.
    Have a wonderful crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
