65th Birthday

Good afternoon to all my friends and fellow bloggers.  Thank you for your visit.Sorry I have been AWOL for a few days. Things have been a bit hectic.

My Card

Close up of right side

This stepper card was commissioned when the lady saw the last card that I did similar to this.  I don't usually like to do similar cards so close to each other, but I got to play with my new dies this time. The backing papers, label and butterfly are from Craftwork Cards "Time Flies". I used my new Memory Box Catalina Wreath die cut twice in lilac and cream.  I then  used Sue Wilson's Classic 3D Bow die in lilac. The pearls are from Hobby House.  Since it is to be hand delivered I didn't need to worry about keeping it flat, but I had to make a box to put it in - which I forgot to photograph!!

I hope you are all okay and that you are having better weather than we are.  It is bitterly cold and now has started to rain!  Can only improve - I've decided I'm going to be an optimist!

Well that's it from me for today.

  19. Stunning, Christine. Enjoyed seeing some of your recent stash used here so effectively. That die is just beautiful. Love that bow, and if this was made with paper, it shines just like a ribbon. It's lovely. Some very pretty papers on this one for trims, and I'm awed by your skills with step cards. Your recipient will love it. TFS & Hugs. It's dreary & drizzling in Upstate SC, not too warm, but not frightfully cold. Just gloomy.

  23. Hi Christine,
beautiful card. I love your design and papers used. Nice die bought at the NEC.
I rather enjoyed seeing you in the picture Sue put on her blog. I know we see a head photo of you on your blog, but it's nice to see the whole image. lol.
I shall be enjoining you all next year if you go, as my sister has decided not to go again as there were only 6 stalls for beads.
So look out here comes trouble with a capital T. lol.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
