Wishing You Happy

Good morning to you all. Hope everybody is fit and well.

Yesterday I went out with the WI to visit a country house  which is not normally open to the public unless by special arrangement.  The gardens are, but not the house, so it was quite an interesting visit.  The house was built a few years before the Civil War and is still in the hands of the same family.  Quite an achievement. The weather forecast said rain and sure enough in the early part of the day it certainly delivered.  But fortunately it really brightened up and we had a lovely tour of the house and walk round the garden.  We also had afternoon tea at a local hotel so it was a very pleasant day all round.

My Card

My card today is made with SB Tranquil Moments which I have not yet used. Once again I was able to use everything totally from my bits box, even the card base because it was an offcut from an A3 sheet. Mind you, it doesn't seem to be getting much less!  I also added SB Labels 16 in the dark fuchsia card so that the lacy detail showed up more. The sentiment is from JustRite Birthday Vintage Labels 4. I then just added a bow and a few pearls. Even the ribbon is very old stash which I have never got round to using. A very simple card to make yet one which looks quite special I think.

I think I'll pop over to the Snippets Playground to see if anybody is playing.  Better wear my wellies I think just in case!

Well that's all from me today.  Thank you for your visit.

  4. You said: a simple card to make, and I think a lovely card to look at!
I see, you had a wonderfull day. Wow, how we love English country houses! They almost look like castles and when we are 'overseas' we try to visit castles, houses and heritage sites as much as possible. At the end of August were crossing the Northsea again! Looking forward to it already.
