Aqua Christmas

Hi.  Yesterday I had a day out to Weston Super Mare with the Women's Institute and we had a really great day and fabulous weather.  I did remember my hat and my SPF 50.  I'm blonde and very fair skinned so burn very easily, and have suffered from heat stroke, both here and abroad, so I am very cautious.  I had no chance to visit any of your blogs so I will be playing catch up today.  I don't know about where you live but we had a doozy of a storm about 2:30 am this morning.   The thunder and lightening were amazing, and some rain to top up my wells.  Perhaps it will be a little cooler today.  Incredibly John slept through it all.

I'm back with another Christmas card today.  I actually really  love making Christmas cards!  This one is a very quick and easy one to make using Die'Sire Create A Card dies "Christmas Eve".  These dies are wonderful if you need to make lots of cards because they can be very simple or "dolled up" a bit.  I made an even simpler one which I will show in a later post.

My Card

My card is 15.5 x 15.5 cms to accommodate the layers., and made from Anna - Marie Designs cardstock because I love the weight of it. I layered it onto aqua glitter card and then onto the card base.  I put the centre die to one side and  I will use it to make a smaller card later.  I stamped the sentiment with aqua ink and die cut it with SB Classic Squares. This is one of my very early stamps on a wood block and it is from Rubber Stampede.   I added three snowflakes to the corner. The two white ones were already in my die cut drawer so I cut the aqua one to layer it up.  The large ones are Marianne Swedish snowflakes and the smaller one is a punch.  All it needed then was for me to add some Hobby House pearls in the corners and away we go - job done.

Hope you are all well and enjoying your day.
