Good morning to you all. It's time for another card for our little Christmas Card Club. This time it was Rachel's choice and as you can see she asked us to make a vintage card. I have only ever made one vintage card before. I love to see vintage cards so I have had a go. Hope you think it is vintage enough Rachel!
My Card
My card is a tent fold base 7" x 5" made from pearlescent card stock from my stash. The backing paper is a digi paper I have had for years and I just printed it off at the size to cover the card. The image is another digi image that I've had for ages, and it was an internet freebie. I remembered this vintage Father Christmas and thought it would be perfect. The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves are rose leaves from a Britannia die. Some red organza ribbon and a pearl finished it off.
We were very lucky to have such beautiful weather this past week when my nephew came with his children. It did mean we could go out and do things, and also simple things like having a barbecue in the garden. I'm not a fan of bbq's but Séb seems to think when they are here we have to do it - it seems to have become a bit of tradition ... lol!
Hope all is well with everybody.
Goodmorning Christine! I like your vintage christmascard a lot.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice sunny day (I hope!)

Hi Christine,
ReplyDeleteFabulous vintage card you have made there. Beautiful image and papers.
I'm not one for BQ's either but hubby would have them all the time, at least now when we do have them I make him do the cooking so I have a day off lol!
Have a great day
Love & hugs

A beautiful vintage Santa image Christine and lovely backing paper too. This was a proper challenge this time for me as I don't make vintage cards much either, so a little out of my comfort zone.
