Courage In The Cairngorms

Good morning to all my friends, fellow bloggers and anybody who landed here accidentally.  Well after a couple of beautiful days when I thought summer was returning it is again cold and dull.

My Card

Ingredients
5" x 7" card - made from Kraft card
Green pearlescent card  - from stash
Candi - Craftwork Cards
Embossing Folder - Tartan Trellis Sue Wilson
Sentiment - Computer generated

I initially tried this card using a white base card and it was really not nice!  I realised this before the glue dried on the embossed card so I was able to peel it off and attach it to the Kraft card instead. Weirdly it left a red stain all over the white card which obviously was one of the dyes that made up the dark green.  I embossed the green card with Tartan Trellis embossing folder which was quite a good choice for my Scottish picture - but it was totally random and I didn't actually choose it for that purpose.  I matted the image on more Kraft card and once I had computer generated the quote I also matted that with Kraft card.  I usually keep male cards fairly straight forward without too many embellishments and I think the candi works just fine.

Had a fabulous girlie evening last night.  I went to a fashion show in Stratford upon Avon with a few other girls from our WI.  It was organised by the Stratford WI to raise funds for the NHS Trust Foundation building a cancer unit and eye unit, so a wonderful cause.  It was four local fashion retailers in Stratford and the "models" were all WI members, or friends and family.  They were fabulous! We had great seats very close to the stage and catwalk so had a good view of everything. It seems so long since I had a night out and it was great.

Hope this finds you all keeping well and getting lots of crafting done.

Take care.
