Icicles For The Christmas Card Club

Good morning friends and fellow bloggers.  Time to make a card  for the Christmas Card Club again and this time it was my lovely blog friend Kate's turn to choose the theme and as you can see she wants to see icicles.  Living where she does she has probably seen them recently ... lol! As usual I am a day early with my post.

My Card

Recipe
6" x 6" base card
Noble Squares - Sue Wilson
aqua pearlescent card - Pennies Worth
image - "Hope"  from The Paper Shelter
icicle die - Joycrafts
gemstones - Docrafts
peel off words - ancient stash (left behind when Noah boarded the Ark)

Such a simple card but I really like the effect - and flat for mailing so a bonus there.  I have had this image for a couple of years but never used it until now. I love the unusual colours. I didn't want to spoil the card by adding a sentiment so instead I raided my stash for some tiny peel off Christmas words and just dotted them around -  not easily seen in the picture..  There are actually icicles hanging from the twigs in her hair but again the picture doesn't really show them.  I die cut the icicle strip from glitter paper and then added the bling.

Well that's all from me today.  I hope this finds you all well.

Take care and keep warm!

  16. I like the effect very much too! I debated on adding a similar Martha Stewart icicle punch at the top of my card. Great minds and all that. Decided it would be a bit 'much', but it looks super here. Cute image, and I love the wonderful SWilson Noble die. Your card looks very icy indeed! TFS & Hugs

  26. This is really pretty; I love your icicles. So nice with that pretty image.
I skipped this challenge so far as I do not have a die that would work and could not think of any design ideas. Sometimes you just get stumped. I thought of using a grass ide upside down but it looked silly as the blades of grass are curved! lol
