Special Day

Good morning , and it really is lovely today.  The sun is shining although still a little fresh, but it's early yet.  Hope everyone is feeling fit and well.  We are going to go off to another National Trust property again today - make the most of the weather!

My Card

Recipe
5" x 7" card base made from Hobbycraft card stock
lilac card stock - Hobbycraft
Elegant Labels 4  die - Spellbinders
Labels 4 die - Spellbinders
A2 Tranquil Moments die - Spellbinders
Faux Quilled leaves - Creative Expressions
Flowers, ribbon and pearls  - from stash
pearl pin - gift from Wendy (Spanish Crafter)
Sentiment - computer generated

I used lots of dies on this card but I think it looks very delicate.   I have this sentiment on a stamp and wanted to use it on this card but it didn't fit the Tranquil Moments die unless I turned the die and I didn't want to do that.  Instead I played around with different fonts on my computer until I came up with something I liked.  I think this card could be used for birthday, anniversary, wedding etc so quite a versatile one to have in my box.

Take care and enjoy whatever you are doing today.

  2. Wow, Christine, what an amazing bow on a gorgeous card. Love the colours and the sentiment.
Have been very busy with my work, so I am enjoying the sun by looking out of the window of my 'study' where I am writing the textes for 3 magazines (always so much to do after coming home from holidays). My cards have all been made in advance. Still one more week till I am ready and will be able to make cards again! Hope you are well!

  9. Hi Christine,
what a very stunning card, and beautifully created.
I love the fab colour pink it is so subtle, and those die cuts are excellent in your arrangement of them.
You have just reminded me I still have quite a few of those from when you lent me the die.
    Must remember to use them.
I do hope you have enjoyed your day out today.
The weather here has been glorious also.
Love and biggest hugs from my house to yours.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
