Hats and Gloves for Christmas Card Club

Good morning. Well we are back to the more normal weather for this time of the year. I saw on the weather report last night that it was 30 degrees somewhere yesterday and today it will be 13.  Wow that's some difference!  They might well need their hats and gloves today!

Today the lovely Kate has asked us to use hats and gloves on our cards and this is what I have come up with.  Mr Mojo has still not returned from his extended holiday so my cards are all fairly simple at the moment. I hope he decides to come back soon!

My Card

Recipe
6" square cream pearlescent base card -  from Crafters Companion card stock
backing papers - Dovecraft "Glad Tidings"
Image - Pink Gem "Snow Hugs"
Frosted Spruce and Frosted Pine trees - Memory Box
Noble Double Pierced Squares - Sue Wilson
Wooden bell - ancient stash

I decided to use cream as my background rather than white then had to search through my papers to make sure there was cream on them as opposed tothe usual white.  I have three Dovecraft  8 x 8" pads (courtesy of Every Crafts a Pound at the NEC) and two of them were suitable with cream so basically that was about it; a couple of embellishments and job done.

My card is a day early because I have another  DT card to post tomorrow.

Hope you are all well.

  11. A beautiful card and image for the theme Christine, love the papers (I've used the same pad for the same reason coincidentally - for the cream in it) Those die cut trees are gorgeous and might have to treat myself to this die, trying to hold off on buying anything much until I get to the NEC this year though.

  14. This is such a cute image. You did a great job on the colouring. I think your card is really pretty...not a hint of mojo problems!

Mine is really plain and done in a huge hurry as I have back and forth to Mum's for 9 days, home for 2 days and now off on an Alaskan Cruise...rushed through my card but at least I got one finished...lol

Crazy weather over here too. This has been the oddest summer weatherwise!

  16. Perfectly chosen image for the hats & gloves theme, and I love this snowy scene. Of course one can't go wrong with a SWilson pierced die to frame all the loveliness,& it looks wonderful done in cream. I should think of cream instead of white, more often. Makes it look quite vintage as well as beautiful.Stay warm. TFS & Hugs
