ReplyDeleteA great card Christine. I'm sure it was much appreciated. It will be a difficult time with your BIL. I'm well Into making Xmas cards and have just made my Mums card which as you can imagine is very difficult as it's usually for both my parents. Heyho we will keep, our chins up hey. Take care my fab blogging buddy. X
ReplyDeleteYour red sky sounds very spooky. Another blogger had told me about this, and I've never seen such a phenomenon. Your card is lovely, just right for this particular birthday. I like the way you've done the image, keeping it very subtle. The design layout is just right for this image, and I like the dimension of the brown pine branches overhanging. I hope your BIL is managing ok. These 'firsts' are difficult, indeed. TFS &Hugs
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous,fab design.xxx
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely card for your Brother in Law. We have a lovely post lady too who will sign for our recorded letters and put through our door if were out. Saw that sky and sun as well. Quite a strange sight to behold. Battening down the hatches now for storm Brian to hit our shores tomorrow. Hugs Mrs A.

ReplyDeleteHi Christine
ReplyDeleteA smashing card for Mike. Hope that he coped with the day as the first of everything is always difficult.
Yes, Monday was very strange. I too had lights on at 11am but I did get washing out and dried lol!

You made a lovely card for your brother in law.
ReplyDeleteI heard about the 'strange' skies in the UK, because our daughter Yvonne and her family was in London at that time and the same happened over there. She showed us the photos she took. WE have been in Austria last week and did not see anything of this over there, we just had the most wonderful weather you could wish! Coming home: rain again.....

This card is lovely and perfect for your brother-in-law. I am so sad to hear that he lost his wife and you lost your sister. I lost my sister over 12 years ago and I still miss her every day!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
