White on White

Good morning to you all and I hope you are not all freezing out there.

It is my turn to choose the theme for our first challenge of 2018 for International Art and Soul and as you can see my choice is White on White.  Now I do know that some people struggle with this concept so it is okay to add a smidgen of colour.

My Card

Recipe
White card stock - Hobbycraft
Create a card Winter Wonderland die-  Crafters Companion
White glitter card - Hobbycraft
Poinsettia die - Britannia Dies
Ribbon and gems - stash

I decided to make a Diorama card using white card stock.  This is such an easy card style to make  yet looks so effective. I used white glitter card on the back fold and also on the side strips which give a little dimension. I really  love the Crafter's Companion Create a Card dies because you can make a card so quickly - ideal when you have lots to make.

As an after thought I popped a battery operated tealight in just before I took the photo. It doesn't show up well in the picture but in reality it looks very effective.

Why not pop over to the blog and see what my team mates have produced for this first challenge.

John and I went to St Albans yesterday to spend some time with his cousins and had a great day catching up and generally having a good old chat. Good food too so a bonus!

Well that's all from me today.  Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

  4. Totally stunning and nice to a CC die in action lol. I have not invested in any of the dies but have been curious as to what they look like when made up (by the general public haha). Oh, the tea light must look magical, shame it did not show up in the pic but I can imagine the mystical addition to the card and all the sparkly glitter. Beautiful creation and thank you for choosing such a cracking theme to start the year off, I love WOW :) :) :) big hug xxxxx

  13. Hi Christine
Love white on white as its so classy as this beautiful card shows.
Must be quite deep to accommodate a tealight but I'm guessing it still folds flat.
Hobbycraft have glitter card half price at the moment. There are some lovely colours.
    Best wishes.
