Not Square or Oblong

Good morning.   This is my DT card for International Art and Soul.  The remit was to make a card which was not square or oblong.  Now I know this is pretty much oblong but I hope the fancy edges make it okay!!

My Card

Recipe
ivory and lavender Centura Pearl - Crafter's Companion
Laced Bow Easel creator die - Tonic Studios
Twig leaf die - Sue Wilson
Numbers/letters dies - Spellbinders
Flowers - Wild Orchid Crafts
Sentiment - computer generated
ribbon and pearls from stash

This set of dies makes such a great card and no matter what colour combo you use it looks fabulous.

I was asked to make this card for the oldest member of our WI and she is absolutely amazing.  Most of our group are so much younger but Myrtle mixes so well with everybody and gets so involved it's hard to believe her age!!!  She is also just recovering from major surgery - and I really mean major but again she didn't let it get her down.

I was asked to use this die or something similar because they had seen another card I had made with it which impressed them.  I was able to kill two birds with one stone and use this card for the IAAS challenge.  We are a Just For Fun challenge but why not pop across to the blog and see what my teamies have produced and maybe you will join in and show us your shaped cards.

Hope the weather improves for the Bank Holiday but here in our part of Oxfordshire it has been a pretty dire couple of days.

Take care.

  12. Hi Christine
You can definitely get away with this one with the domed filigree top. Smashing card and what a great age to get to and still be so active.

  14. This is just so beautiful, Christine. It's elegant & looks just the thing for a lady as you describe. The filigree & pale blue colors are dainty & feminine, and I love the pretty flowers & gauzy bow. Best birthday wishes to your sweet friend. TFS & Hugs
