Hello

Good morning on this cold, bright Mothering Sunday.  Unfortunately families are not able to get together today but better afe than sorry.

Our WI has had to close and we are concerned about a number of our older members.  Of the 60 of us we have three over ninety and five in their late eighties who rarely miss a meeting.  We are keeping in touch with them by email, phone etc and I have just a made a card for each of them. I will be doing this at regular intervals just to let them know they are not forgotten.

My Card

Recipe
5" x 7" white base card.
lilac and purple card - Hobbycraft
embossing folder -Petal Pleasure from Couture Creations
flower die - Britannia Dies
sentiment die - Sue Wilson
Tonic crystal drops

Simple cards but just a way to keep in touch.  Unfortunately the photo does not show the lovely embossing.

Keep well and if, like me, you are confined to barracks keep busy.  I am sure we all have enough craft supplies to keep us going well past this emergency situation.

  3. What a lovely idea for keeping in touch with your members Christine...it’s all so worrying we are going out as little as possible and only to get food when we run out sadly we haven’t any family near us so we have to go to the shops...not that there is much point as they are stripped bare....I don’t know what the world is coming to.....anyway you both take care xxxxx

  4. Morning Christine,
A lovely idea, I too belong to at seniors club and we have closed we meet weekly so it's a big loss for a lot of our members. We have about 8 over 90 and the many more in their 80's. Lets hope it clears soon.

Great idea to keep in touch with your elderly ladies. It's what we're doing with one of our friends who has a whole host of health problems, keep your selves safe, Kate x
