Can I tell you a secret?

Well, at least I seem have lost my terror of colouring! I know it is far from good, and I still have lots to learn but that is only going to come with practice. So I am going to  post a coloured image at least once a week - hopefully.  I thought I had  better qualify that statement because you never know what crops up in this life!

This is a Sarah Kay image which I won as blog candy from Bev Rochester last year and this is the first time it has been inked. It is so sweet that it certainly won't be the last time. I love Sarah Kay images and I have ordered some more.  Am I brave or what? No stopping me now. Lol!

The stamped image is cut with Spellbinders labels 18 and matted with purple card. I made a very narrow mat by drawing round the outside of the same size die. I first saw this done by Becca Feekin and I do it often. The background papers are digital downloads from Cuddly Buddly - Country House papers by Pachela Studios and the colour is wisteria. The lavendar gingham ribbon is from my stash, as is the little silver butterfly charm. I think this was from The Works - £1 for six, if my memory serves. The flowers are WOC - naturally, and the silver leaf is a Marianne Creatables.
I have not yet added a sentiment because I don't know who this card is for, and it can easily be added at the last minute.

Oh I have just realised what a clot I am - take a look at the bunch of flowers! Only forgot to colour them in didn't I? I will have to go and remedy that now.

Off to Zumba class again this morning. I'll keep fit or die trying!!!

With love from Christine xx

  7. So many people love the SK images and it's no wonder, they're all so cute and easy to colour. Love your card layout and the beautiful gingham bow.

  8. Lol, the times I've forgotten to colour a bit on my image lol. Your colouring is lovely. SK images are always so pretty aren't they. I find it hard to get started colouring with pencils so I've started laying a base colour (lightest shades of whatever I want the colour palette to be) and then using the pencils to shade and define. I'm finding it so much easier. Thanks for popping by my blog. Hugs lin

  12. Christine this card is adorable and I think the flowers look good as they are so not to worry. Your colouring is looking so good and I am getting really jealous. I avoid it alot at the moment as I am waiting for my new glasses, think I need to see properly to colour (thats my excuse and I am sticking to it.LOL!!)
    Take care Linda x

  13. Hi Christine - I love this card and the image is sooooo cute. I bought some of the SK stamps a little while ago - aren't they really lovely. I love these colours (my faves!!) they match my laptop. As for your afterthought about the flowers - you actually made me giggle - especially when you said "I have just realised what a clot I am etc." Methinks we were separated at birth! That's me to a tee!
