Good Morning Blog friends
I'm glad you liked the little flap box yesterday and hope you managed to take a look at
Amazing Paper Grace. Becca does the most fabulous work and I have learned so much from her site. I have it saved in my Favourites list and had a quick check - it was on February 17th 2012 so you can easily find it in her archives list. (Click on that month and this particular tutorial is on page 4.)
Well we had our little trip out yesterday to the National Trust property that we had originally planned for Wednesday. The weather was great and we had a lovely day out and lunch too.
Since I already had a card prepared from a couple of days ago it was an easy job to just jot down a few lines, attach the picture, and Bob's your uncle.
The image, of course is LOTV, backing paper is doubleside card stock, Isabella from the First Edition pad, Cheery Lynne Fanciful Flourish, and the ribbon and little heart charm are from my stash. I really love this flourish die and it can be made to look so different. Today I just added it as it was with nothing extra added. A very simple card.
Wel I hope you all enjoy today, whatever you have planned to do.
Love and hugs from Christine x
PS Just edited this post - the image is a diecut. My colouring is awful, can't quite get the light and shade right, although I am practising!
Stunning card I wished I could colour like that but I must crack it I have so many stamps .Melanie
ReplyDeleteHi Melanie, I have just altered my post to correct the impression that this was a coloured image!! I'm useless - not much better than a child. They say practice makes perfect but ... Love Christine x
DeleteSuch a lovely card Christine. The image is gorgeous and I love the papers.

Hi Christine,
ReplyDeletelovely card today. I am just starting colouring images in now. I'm on my 8th card now. Still have a lot to learn though. I have been watching u tube, there are some great tutorials on there. I wish I could afford the copic markers. i am using a combo of pro markers and spectrum noirs. They don't mix very well, and I prefer the pro markers, but nowhere round here sells them and I think you need to look at the pens to see what colours you want. Have a great crafty day everyone.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Hi Christine, such a lovely card and yes that swirl is beautiful, might have to invest in that one as it is so cute. Have not yet bought stamps to try colouring in but I am getting the urge as I think it would be very therapeutic. Am a fan of LOTV so will take a look at theirs.
ReplyDeleteCan I ask a question please? The silver card you created showcased by Linda on 1st August was the backing paper a Hunkydory one? I loved it.
So glad you enjoyed your day yesterday and hope you are enjoying the sunshine today. Love Christine H xx

DeleteHi Christine, for some reason your other comment, although it appears in my email inbox, is not showing on the blog. The backing papers you were talking about were from the Confetti range by Craftwork Cards. They really were gorgeous. love Christine. x
DeleteSorry for confusion. I went back onto your blog and saw it wasn't there so sent again and deleted the second message as I thought it wouldn't make sense. At least I know the first one got to your email inbox. Thank you so much for the info I will take a look at Craftwork Cards, bless you!

Hi Christine, how strange my first comment didn't print out so will try again. Love your card today and that swirl is beautiful think I may have to invest in that one. The stamped image is so cute and your colouring in is great. I am a fan of LOTV so will take a look at theirs and choose one.
ReplyDeleteCan I ask a question please? The card showcased by Linda on 1st August No. 3 the silver one, can you advise what backing paper you used, those swirls look gorgeous. Thank you.
Also, I have noticed that my name doesn't appear at the top of my comments is that because I'm a non-blogger?
Glad you enjoyed your day out yesterday and hope you are enjoying today's sunshine. Love Christine H x
I think we have just had a crossover and were actually working at the same time! Your name does appear on your comments; maybe there was a gremlin around for a while today. This unaccustomed heat must be affecting it! Christine x

Thank you so much for visiting my blog and becoming a follower. I am very flattered. I have been to your blog also but unfortunately, although your work looks really good, I cannot understand what you are saying. Is it possible for you to put in a translation, or add a translate button? I really would like to follow what you are saying. Many thanks. Christine xx
