Easel Drawer Card

Good morning dear friends. Yesterday the sun shone after four days of gales and torrential rain so John and I decided to make a run for it in case it changed it's mind again!  Lol! We had a great day out visiting a National Trust property near Reading. There are some lovely woodland walks there so we will be going again to do a bit of walking too. We had only just got in the car to drive home, and the heavens opened! Perfect timing!

I have been going to attempt a drawer easel card for a while but never got round to it. However on Wednesday I finally did it and would have posted it yesterday but I preferred to have a day out. Sorry folks! I started out simply by doing a single drawer but next time it's going to be two or four.  ( As the song goes - "Aint no stopping me now, I'm on the move!") I think they will make a great little card and gift combined.

Here it is with the easel open.

I used a  smooth pink card to make the  drawer base and then Bazill Basics Bling to make the actual card. Hunkydory Delicate Pink Foiled Silver Daisies was matted onto silver mirri which made the top of the card. I wrapped pink organza ribbon round it three times before adding a triple bow in the same ribbon. I diecut the largest motif in the Venetian motifs in pink and then in silver mirri and stuck them together. The little square petalled die from the accents set was cut in pink and then a small WOC rose added to the middle before it was attached to the front of the card. Because the Hunkydory cardstock is so busy I didn't want to add anything else. I cut a strip of Hunkydory, matted it with mirri and then used foam pads to make the easel stopper inside. I used a silver rub on greeting on another Venetian accent and then added a silver mirri border die cut. I used a jewelled brad for the drawer handle.

You can find a tutorial here.
Well that's it for today. Hope you all have a great day today.

Love from Christine xx
