Wedding Day

Hello blog friends.  First of all I would  like to say hello and welcome to my new followers. You are very kind to join me and I hope you like what you see and leave me a little feedback..

I've had a busy couple of days which is why I have been absent, but I 've got a card to show today. I have just heard that some dear friends got married last week and so this is the card I have made to send them. No cute bride and groom image - this is a  mature couple  (if I can all any of my friends mature!) with a lovely story but unfortunately it's not for me to tell. Sorry for the tease, but rest assured it's a romantic tale of happiness second time around for them both - culminating in a wedding at Gretna. Now what could be more romantic than that.

I have made a similar card before for my nephew's wedding anniversary which Linda showcased for me  here on her  blog before I started my own blog. I wanted to make a card  in a hurry and get it off to them so I re-visited a previous card and made a few changes.

Here is the original card

Click on pictures to enlarge images.

and here is the updated version.

As you can see with just a few tweaks it looks different.  I changed the size of the card, the colours and  the placement of the embellishments - as well as changing the embellishments slightly.

The background paper is the Confetti Range from Craftwork Cards, and I was so disappointed to find this has been discontinued because I really loved it. I used Spellbinders floral oval, the label and corner from Parisian Motifs and the Foliage dies.

Well we have just had two dreadful days of lashing rain and wind, so let's hope it  improves a bit now. John lit the woodburner last night so it was very cosy.  Seems so early to be having a fire - but I will not be cold in my own home!!!

Hope you all have a good day and manage a little crafting.

With love and hugs from Christine xx

Thank you for visiting and for the kind messages you leave. I really do appreciate each and everyone of them.

  14. Hello sweet lady,
This revisited card idea is wonderful. I loved the first card you created (and allowed me to show on the blog) but I have to be honest and say that the latest one shows real progress. It is a real wowzer of a card. Delicate, pretty, romantic and dressed to perfection. Big hugs Linda xx
