Those Who Sow Kindness Gather Love

Hi everybody, and yet another glorious day.  Rain is forecast tomorrow. Much as we need it here I am very selfish and would like it to fall overnight and leave us with some good days before Autumn is upon us.

My Card.

I was looking for something last night and came across this old Cuttlebug die which has not seen the light of day for many many years. It came in a double pack and is called Honeycomb. The other die is the honeycomb but this poor thing wasn't given a name. Anyway I thought today was a good day to use it and let it feel loved again. Lol! I decided on a CAS design.

My card is 7 x 5 inches.  I added a mat from red card before attaching another piece of white card.  I cut the Memory Box Tessatina border twice and added the flowers on top.  I computer generated the sentiment before adding the die cuts.  Obviously I realise now that I should have made the font size larger, but apart from that I am quite happy with the fresh look of this card.  It is so easy to keep adding things but I am getting quite good now at stopping myself. I have never been one to find it essential to fill up all the space on a card, but keeping it very clean and simple was quite a struggle at first.  I have also thought of another way to use these two dies so look out for another similar one soon! Lol!

Enjoy your day whatever you are doing, and I hope the sun is shining on you too.

  1. Hi there Christine - hope you and John are both well. This really is a lovely card, I keep saying I am going to do some CAS cards but never get around to it. They start out simple (in my head - ooops that is worrying) but they end up anything but. I am determined to make something as beautiful as this one though!!

    Hugs to you Sue Pxxx

I love what you have done with all the things.
Great feeling using things we have tucked away for ages.
Long may the sun shine, like you if we could programme the rain to fall, during the night it would be fantastic.

  13. Hi Christine,
fab card. I love the dies used on this. Great colours too. I must try and put less on my cards, but you know me I find this very hard for some reason.
Well I certainly do hope it rains tonight. It's been so hot here.
Couldn't sleep last night because of the heat and we live in a bungalow. Had the fan on but still couldn't sleep. So been dozy all afternoon.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  14. Lovely card Christine I love the way you have set them against the honeycomb.I agree with Patricia if it would only rain at night and be sunny during the day it would be great. I just think if it rained just a little bit it would be most welcome!

  15. I think I might have those dies somewhere, lol, will have a look tomorrow. Thank you for reminding me about them - I regularly forget my Cuttlebug dies because I love my others more, poor old dies. Yep I'd rather it rained overnight - that way it would be mild and warm during the day - if only! Have a fab day Karen x
