Black And White Lady

Hello everybody.  Thanks for stopping by today. Well there is no rain this morning and no frost, yet it feels much colder than other mornings.  I would say it was the wind chill factor - but no wind either. Ah well, just have to get on with it. Did my shopping yesterday so I have no need to go out specifically.

I don't know what has happened to the picture of Lia's blog candy on my sidebar. I tried reducing the size but it wouldn't so I actually removed it. But as you can see the picture is still there yet when I go into Layout is not there, so I'm not sure how I can get rid of it.  Blogger is really going nuts at the moment isn't it?

My Card

I bought a couple of sheets of decoupage a few years ago but unfortunately I must have cut off the bit that had the name on so I can't tell you where it is from.  I actually only cut one extra layer for the hat.  I matted it onto black card and mounted it onto a 5" x 7 " card base.  The black spotted ribbon is from Hobbycraft and the pearls are from my stash.  I rather like the stark simplicity so to keep it simple I decide to raid my stash of peel offs for the sentiment.

Hope you all have a good day.

No winter over here also, just in the very north east part of the country and we're living in the south. So: rain, rain and more rain!

    Have a nice weekend,

  14. By the way: I indeed can see my candy picture on top of your blog. But this morning I had lots of trouble with my blog also, so I don't think it's not just your problem...How I hate these troubles (not only this time, but often!)

  16. I used to have some of that decoupage as well as black die cut silhouettes - really old stash mine was! There is something very classy and elegant with a black image on a white card - it will always be a classic. Blogger is driving us all nuts right now, so you are not alone - we're all having different problems with it x

  17. Very elegant and classic card Christine. Blogger really being a pain at the moment, I gave up the other day trying to comment. Weather terrible here this morning can't see us doing much today, defiantly a stay in doors day.

  20. This is so dramatic & lovely. I really like the 'cameo' effect, and your ribbon was the perfect finish as were the sentiment stickers. Loved the tiny black pearl corners. TFS & Hugs. (It's cold in South Carolina too, no wind, but feels colder than the temp is showing.)

  21. This is stunning. Tres Chic!

I will so look forward to you trying out the Challenges at Rudolph Day. IT is such a friendly bunch and you will see a lot of the same ladies at Pixies Crafty Workshop, linking up their cards if they have at least one snippet of something on them.
Between our club and Sarn, that is over 42 Christmas ards that will be done and dusted, long before Christmas.
