Decorated Sweetie Jar

Hello friends and fellow bloggers.  Thanks for popping in to visit.  I would love it if you were to leave a comment so that I know that you have been and I can then hopefully return the visit.

My Project

side view  showing  the pretty vellum paper

Just a quick post today to show a little sweetie jar that I decorated.  I decorated a couple at Christmas and filled them with sweets for the children but with all the hustle and bustle I totally forgot to take pictures.

For this one I used some really pretty vellum that was in my Paddle Prize from Mrs Duck ( Ang). The lace and narrow pink ribbon are from my stash . The pink velvet ribbon with the saddle stitched edge was from some ribbon (lots of ribbon!!) that I won from Crafty Ribbons last year.  It was all in shades of pink and the variety was amazing .  I think, and I'm sure Ang will be able to confirm this, that the crochet flowers are from The Range.  It just looks so pretty and is very useful for all sorts of things eg buttons, ribbon, sweets lol! but will also make a lovely gift.

Well that's it from me for today.  Hope you are all well.

  1. Good morning Christine, hope you are well.
I just LOVE your jar, you know me on Boxes and Jars. When I saw the flowers I thought you have made them till I read on, they are beautiful.
Great idea must try and remember this for Christmas. Mind you, a pretty gift in a jar is acceptable at any time
    Have a great day (((((hugs)))))

  11. Hi Christine
I thought I recognised that vellum. How to make a simple jar look wonderful eh?
We have got something similar to these flowers but not all Ranges carry the same stock.
Don't know how you managed to part with your jars. Too pretty to give away.
