Star Of Wonder

Good morning. Gosh we have had so much rain!  We were certainly lucky for our  holiday last week and very thankful we were not going this week.

Well this card for the Christmas Card Club should have been posted on Sunday 12th but having just got back I had no time to do it. Anyway, I have managed it now.  Zoe was our host this time and she asked us for "Star of Wonder" or "Anything Goes".  It was a struggle but I really wanted to go with Star of Wonder rather than taking an easier option.  Sorry I'm so late Zoe but I got here in the end!

My Card

Recipe
5" square scalloped card base - Rymans
gold mirri card - from stash
Christmas Star - Joanna Sheen Signature Dies
Small stars - Memory Box Cosmic Stars

I remembered that somewhere I had these scripts so I searched my system till I found them and then added all three. I kept it CAS - mainly because I just wasn't sure what else to do ...!!  Very flat for posting which is a big plus. I apologise for the poor quality of the picture but it was very difficult to get a good one.  It was so dark that I just had to use flash which then bounced off the mirri card.  Still, you have got the idea I'm sure..

Hope everybody is well and not drowning in water.

Take care.

  1. A lovely CAS card - great design. I always find it difficult to photograph anything with mirri card - I usually manage to get an image of me taking the photo!

  11. Hi Christine,
what a wonderful and luxurious looking card.
I love the fab stars, and the wonderful triple sentiments or should I say the words of the song.
I know what you mean about the rain as we don't get a great deal where I live, but it sure has rained the last few days.
Take this morning at 7am it was bright sunshine.
Then at 9am it turned to rain and the heavens did open up.
Then at 12am it turned back to bright sunshine again and stayed that way for the rest of the day.
Love and biggest hugs from my house to yours.
So glad you had a good holiday.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

  13. This is a very elegant card. I like the way you used the first three lines of the song.
The star looks gorgeous in the mirri card as well as does the mirri mat background.

It sure is hard to photograph mirri or even glitter card...the card does catch the light! I think your photo is a good one though.

  16. Hi Christine
Gosh, sorry I didn't realise I was this far behind.
Wonderful CAS card. The script looks terrific too.
We had horrendous rain this morning but this afternoon has been beautiful.

  17. Well worth the wait!! The gold star gleams beautifully against this background, and I LOVE the sentiment. Glad that you remembered having this set, because it is absolutely perfect for the challenge. The shape of the gold mat on the corners looks so pretty with the array of stars, and the scallop edging is another great design detail. Great job, Christine. TFS & Hugs
