A Little Bit Shabby at MAWTT

Good morning and I hope this finds you all well.  Did you get lots of Valentine cards this morning?

It's time for another challenge for Team B at MAWTT  June has chosen the theme of a "A Little Shabby Chic".  I love to see shabby chic cards but I really find them difficult to make.  As you will see mine is definitely just "a little"!! Whenever I'm roughing up the edges I can hear my mum sitting on my shoulder and asking why I'm ruining lovely paper ... lol!

My Card

Recipe
6" square kraft base card
papers - Vintage Fall from MR Designs
oval nesties/scalloped ovals - Spellbinders
pearl swirls - Want To Scrap
sentiment - computer generated
butterflies - from stash

I am still trying to use some of my old dies and stash. These MR Designs digi papers were bought from Etsy about five years ago and I'm ashamed to say they have never been used - and yet they are gorgeous!! There are papers, inserts, elements sheet sentiments and element sheet tags.  As you see I used one of the inserts but I cut I cut it in two and glued it down, The doiley is part of the insert and I diecut one of the sentiments and added it to the inside too.  It makes the inside look so pretty too - and so easily  I think I will be using this set again now. The butterflies were in my stash and were white so I coloured them with promarkers.

Unfortunately the light was quite poor by the time I took the pictures so I might try agan tomorrow to see if I can improve them.

Why not pop across to the blog and see the gorgeous cards from the rest of the DT?

Take care and enjoy your day.
