Make Your Own Background for IAAS

Good morning.  My goodness it is cold - anyone would think it was winter!!!!! Fortunately most of the snow seems to have gone.

This time at IAAS the challenge is to make your own background.

My Card

Recipe
7" x 5" base card
silver mirri card to mat
paper scraps/snippets
Salzburg die -Austrian Collection Sue Wilson
sentiment stamp - Grand Sentiments JustRite
ribbon and pearls from stash

I saw a video tutorial on the herringbone technique and decided to try it to use up some of the pieces of papers I had been hoarding. It is very simple yet looks so effective.  Probably with darker papers etc it could be a good card for the men in our lives
Why not pop over to the blog to see the different backgrounds created by the rest of the DT.  We are a Just For Fun challenge but it could give you some ideas for your own projects.

Take care and keep warm.

  1. Yes, indeed: it's cold!! Hardly any snow over here, but grey days with frost during the night and rain during the days. I hate this...!
    Your card is very nice!!
