Challenge 4 for Christmas Card Club

Good morning. Well here we already at our fourth Christmas make for our little friendly group of crafters who like to get ahead with our Christmas makes.  We take turns to choose the theme and it was my turn this time and I asked that a Christmas Carol or Christmas song be used in our cards.

If you are looking for my IAAS card please click HERE

 Card #1

Card # 2

My first card features a song and the second one a carol.  Both cards made from Our Daily Bread Designs  before the company name changed to Divinity Designs. The first one was from one of the papers and the second one is Christmas Tree Collage stamp together with one of the papers to mat. Both  flat cards for posting.  I added gold glitter and glossy accents to the second card and gold pearls to the first.

I have used the collage stamp  previously but on gold and green card and it looks so different on a kraft card base.

I have decided that the majority of my cards will be flat and only add lots of embellishment etc to the ones  being hand delivered or close family and dear friends.

I do hope you are not being affected too badly by the storm. Our property is very high so flooding is not a problem but wind certainly is. Fingers crossed for no trees down this weekend.  I don't like all this heavy rain but it certainly fills our wells and those who have followed me for a while know that we are so isolated that we are not on mains water and rely on two wells. Not good in very hot dry summers but you have to take the rough with the smooth - or should that be the wet with the dry?... lol

Well take care and keep dry, warm and safe.

Follow The Sketch at IAAS

Good morning and I trust this finds you all well.  I guess we will all be battening the hatches getting ready for Storm Dennis.  There were so many trees down last weekend here so I do hope it's not going to be like that again. I went out on Saturday morning for the newspaper and when John went out in the afternoon there was a tree and a large limb from another one blocking the way out of our property.  Oh the joys of leaving in the country.

Anyway let's get down to business.  This card is not actually due to be posted until Sunday so I am a day early. Our challenge at IAAS, chosen by me, is to follow a sketch.  Sometimes it is good to be pushed out of our comfort zone.

Anything Goes -at Winter Wonderland.

Good morning. Today's challenge is a tribute to Eileen, the former owner and DT coordinator of the Winter Wonderland  Challenge Blog, who sadly passed away at the beginning of 2017. This challenge is our way of remembering her and showing our appreciation of all she did  at the Winter Wonderland Challenge.

Although our challenge this time is Anything Goes please remember that we are a Christmas challenge so only Christmas projects are allowed.  Our sponsor is https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/SheepS...

My Card

6" square white base card.
raspberry pearl card - Hunkydory Adorable Scorable

I kept my card pretty flat but raised the image with foam pads.

Why not hop over to the blog and see the creations from the rest of the DT.  This is a good way to get ahead with your Christmas cards so you don't have a panic situation in November ... lol!

Well it's Friday already and the weekend looms ahead so take care and enjoy.

Favourite Song at IAAS

Good morning and hope you are well.  Today at IAAS the challenge is to make a card based on your favourite song. I wouldn't say this is my favourite song by any means but I needed a get well card and this song seemed to fit the image perfectly.

My Card

Recipe
6" square base card
digi image and backing papers - Clear Dollar Stamps.
square die - Spellbinders Large Classic Squares
lacy square die - Spellbinders

The papers and digi image are all from Clear Dollar Stamps "Rainy Days" which unfortunately is no longer in business.   I computer generated the sentiment onto the cloud image.

A very simple card  but I love this little duck with his wellies and umbrella.  I then just added some bakers twine and a few gems to finish it off.

Take card and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

No Image for MAWTT Challenge # 115

Good morning. It's time for another card for MAWTT. This month it was my turn to choose the theme and I didn't want to see an image on the cards.  So if you are thinking about joining in the challenge you need to remember that.  You can us die cuts or sentiments, quotes etc but no image.

My Card

Recipe
6"square white base card
silver mirri  to matt
embossing folder - Dainty Dots Spellbinders
corner dies - Joy!crafts
label die - Vintage Labels 4 JustRite
stamps - birthday Vintage  Labels 4

My card is basically white on white with a touch of silver. I love this matching stamp and die set from JustRite and I really should use them more often.  We buy so many new products and forget the beautiful stuff we already possess. The oval sentiment sits inside the shaped flourish so I stamped them together with Versamark and detail silver embossing powder.  I think this sentiment could be used for other occasions than just birthdays.

Please pop across to the blog and see what the rest of the DT have made for this challenge and maybe you will feel inspired to join in.

Take care and have a good day.
