Chocolate Box

I'd just like to say good morning to you all on this Good Friday morning and hope it finds you all well.

My Project

my favourite choccies I think

I wanted to give some chocolates to a lady in the village and I had just the box to put them in  - or so I thought!  Turned out that it just wasn't quite the right dimensions. Still it didn't take long to whip up another one that would hold the chocolates without squashing them.  I used SB Resplendent Rectangles for the lid and base. For the lid  I die cut an SB Labels 20 and some SB foliage and dabbed some Tim Holtz DI Spun Sugar whilst the leaves were still in the dies.  In my bit box I found a small piece of embossed card which was left over from something else so I coloured that with the same distress ink  and added a WOC rose.   So a very pretty box for quite a mundane gift and which took hardly any time to make.

My mum always bought me some Ferrero Rocher for Christmas and Easter and I really miss that.  These chocolates always bring her to mind.

Enjoy the weekend and I hope you have a blessed and Holy Easter.

  10. Christine firstly your box is stunning, I just love how your beautiful box has turn that standard box of chocolates into something gorgeous. Oh I did like your comment on Sues blog I wrote the other day saying if these ladies had their own blogs they could show all their pictures on there and we could go and have a look at them, Suttle hint for them to get their own ones, I am surprised Patricia hasn't commented to you about that as well we are always ranting about what they put on Sues blog. I see Ang added her tuppence worth on the subject too, it's getting to much. Sorry to go on but good on you I have been thinking how to write something. Have a lovely Easter. Hazel xx

  14. Hi Christine - I lurve your little box but I lurve the contents more (if I may say so without causing offence). My favourite choccies (well one of my faves to be honest). I bet she loved her gift and it is by no means mundane.

Oh and I have a nice Easter egg to get me teeth into later on! Yummy.

Lots of love and big hugs to you Sue Pxxx

  16. Christine, I LOVE those chocolates. Been a while since I had them, however. Can't eat just one!!! Your box made a lovely presentation for a very delicious & thoughtful gift. I don't 'do boxes', so I'm always so impressed when I see a made one & particularly so, when it's as beautiful as this one. I'm sure your friend will keep this one to store some very precious memento, when the candy is just a sweet memory. How kind & thoughtful of you to take the time & your skill to be such a good friend. Happy Easter, and I love the way you closed the post today. So very true. Hugs
