The Blessings Of Christmas

Good morning and it's time for another Christmas Card Club challenge.  This time Carol has chosen the theme and it is a particular favourite of mine.  I love to use a sentiment or quote as the main element of my cards so when Carol asked us to make the sentiment the focal point of our card it was right up my street!  Thanks Carol!

My Card

Recipe
6 inch square base card  - Rymans
embossing folder - from a magazine
stamped sentiment - very ancient stash (lost the name)
large classic oval dies - Spellbinders
large classic scalloped oval dies - Spellbinders
pearls from stash

I wanted to make this card as flat as possible so I actually embossed the base card itself before adding the diecuts.  Unfortunately the lovely embossed pattern is not showing up too well but I can assure you it really is pretty.

This card is a day early because I have another DT card to post tomorrow.

In my last post I said that our central heating pump had given up the ghost on Sunday.  Well John ordered a new one online on Sunday afternoon and  they said 3-5 days delivery.  We do have two woodburning stoves but it's nice to have heating in the bathroom etc too, but I resigned myself to a week of being a bit chilly getting out of the shower. Incredibly the new pump arrived on Monday at 12 noon!  John was going to  the   dentist that afternoon but first thing Tuesday morning he was on it and by the end of the day it was all up and running again! Success!  And many thanks to my personal plumber!

Well I hope you are all well and have a great weekend.

Take care!

Hi Christine,
such a gorgeous card, and that sentiment is super.
Love the embossing and your wonderful red dots.
So glad your personal plumer got the job done, and you now have a lovely warm house.
It sure is very great having a hubby that is so handy with jobs that others have to call out a tradesmen for.
My DH is also very good at repairing lot of things too, and that has saved us lots of money.
More money to spen on craft items. LOL.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

The embossing pattern shows up very well on this lovely elegant card. Love the oval sentiment, and the pearl circles you've added in the corners. Red & white is always a wonderful combo for Christmas. Happy you've got the heat sorted too. Congrats to your Mr. fixit!!! TFS & Hugs
