Get Creative Challenges # 13

Good morning to all my friends and fellow bloggers - and if you have just wandered here by chance I hope you like what you see and drop by again.  The challenge this time at Get Creative is to use purple, pink and green - perfect colours for me.  Our sponsor is Lacy Sunshine and the prize is three images of the winner's choice.  The image I have used is from the Flower Pot Pretty range "Crystal Chrysanthemum".

My Card

Recipe
7" square card from Anne-Marie
Backing papers from Lili of the Valley - Snow Princess Solids
Pink pearlescent card from stash
Sentiment circle - Craftwork Cards
Spellbinders - Marvellous Squares
Sue Wilson - Faux Quilled Leaves
Promarkers to colours
Pearls from stash

I think I went a bit overboard with the leaves ... lol!

I hope you are all well and have been enjoying the lovely weather. Yesterday was very bright and sunny but pretty chilly and we had an overnight frost, but the sun is shining again this morning and it seems a bit warmer.

Take care.

OSAAT Challenge # 235 Daughters/Girls

Good afternoon.  Time again for another DT card for OSAAT.  As you can see the challenge is "Anything goes for Daughters/Girls".  The image I have used is Pansies by CraftyGirl Creations and is available at Stitchy Bear Digital Stamp Outlet and you can find it HERE.  It is quite some time since I have made an easel card and I wanted to show off the quotation/verse and there was no room on the front, so this seemed the ideal way. I guess  this is really for a "big girl".

My Card

Recipe
Card base made from Papermania card stock.
Spellbinders Labels 28
Spellbinders Enchanted Labels 28
Striped paper - free digi from Jak Heath - very old stash
Yellow pearlescent card from stash.
Ribbon and pearls from stash
Quotation and sentiment - computer generated
Promarkers to colour

If you click on the last image you will be able to read the quote which fits the image so well.  I do love my quotes!   A long time ago Marie-Louise  loaned me her Enchanted Labels 28 die and I die cut quite a few before returning it to her. She was so kind!!  I was so very tempted to colour my pansies in purples and mauves because I love those colours and have lots of them in my garden pots.  However I resisted the temptation - gosh it was hard!!

We would love you to join us in the challenge and here is the prize you could win.

Well, that's it for today.  Hope you are all feeling okay and enjoying this fine weather - and her's hoping it lasts too!!

Christmas Card Club # 8 - Vintage

Good morning to you all.  It's time for another card for our little Christmas Card Club.  This time it was Rachel's choice and as you can see she asked us to make a vintage card.  I have only ever made one vintage card before.  I love to see vintage cards so I have had a go.  Hope you think it is vintage enough Rachel!

My Card

My card is a tent fold base 7" x 5" made from pearlescent card stock from my stash.  The backing paper is a digi paper I have had for years and I just printed it off at the size to cover the card. The image is another digi image that I've had for ages, and it was an internet freebie. I remembered this vintage Father Christmas and thought it would be perfect. The flowers are Wild Orchid Crafts and the leaves are rose leaves from a Britannia die. Some red organza ribbon and a pearl finished it off.

We were very lucky to have such beautiful weather this past week when my nephew came with his children.  It did mean we could go out and do things, and also simple things like having a barbecue in the garden.  I'm not a fan of bbq's but Séb seems to think when they are here we have to do it - it seems to have become a bit of tradition ... lol!

Hope all is well with everybody.

OSAAT # 234 - Anything Goes for Easter

Good afternoon  I'm sorry for my absence but right now there is a lot going on here.  When I can I try to check up on your blogs but it is a bit sporadic I'm afraid.

This is my DT card for the  One Stitch at A Time  challenge and this time it is to make a card for Easter or Passover.  My image is the Cala Lily Digital Image and Paper Pack from Coosty Creations available here at Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet.

My Card

Recipe
6x6" card made from Papermania cardstock
Papers from Coosty Creations
Tiny pearls from Meiflower
Large pearls from Hobby House
Martha Stewart Scroll Lace Punch

I actually didn't use the digi image.  The cala lily image I used as a topper on the front of my card is actually part of one of the backing papers which I cropped and printed onto card stock.  I also used that paper to line inside the card which made a lovely finishing touch. Although it's not very clear in the picture I also used another of the papers on the front. I didn't want to spoil it by adding any text so I computer generated the text on to white card stock and cut it into a label/tag which can be pulled out to read. I trimmed the edges with the MS punch to match the backing paper.

We'd love you to play along with us.  This is the prize you could win.

Hope you are all well and enjoying a blessed and peaceful Easter.
