Good morning. This time my card is for our friendly little Christmas Card Club and we make a Christmas card (or two) every other week so that we are not panic stricken when November arrives with very few cards made! I am hosting the challenge this time. I love making Christmas cards of all description but I must admit that my favourites are those which have something to do with the real meaning of Christmas. I have asked that the girls make a card based on a Christmas Carol.
We had some long overdue rain yesterday. It has been so dry for the past few weeks. The garden really appreciates it and everything looks really fresh. It had the added bonus of filling all my water butts making it easier to water all my bedding plants.
My Cards
Card # 1
Card # 1
Recipe
6" square base card - blue cardstock from Jelly Bean Crafts
card front "While Shepherds Watched" - Crafts u Print
pearls from stash
I forgot I had this CUP card front and I don't think it has ever been used. It is actually 8"x 8" but I printed it out at just under 6". I tend to only use the larger cards for special occasions. I just added lots of pearls and some glitter for the poinsettia centres.
Card # 2
Recipe
5" x 7" base card - cardstock Papermania
Pearlescent green card - Craftwork Cards
stamp - Midnight Clear - Our Daily Bread Designs
Pearlescent Ivy Brilliance Ink Pad
Holly Vine - Memory Box
Poinsettia die - Marianne dies
A2 Bracket Borders One - Spellbinders
Pine Twig - Sue Wilson die
Pine Twig - Sue Wilson die
I used a foam pad and the same ink that I stamped the image to colour the base of the card and allow it to stand out a little.
Well I hope you enjoy your weekend.
Take care.

Hi Christine
Two lovely traditional cards. Love the second one in particular.
Glad you went with the proper true meaning of Christmas rather than someone snoozing in a chair wearing a party hat and clutching a turkey leg in their hand lol!

Two really beautiful cards Christine and thank you for a wonderful challenge theme. I love them both but I find anything with a music score is always appealing.

I just got through telling Margaret that Christmas music cards are so appropriate at Christmas - Who doesn't love Christmas music. Your first card looks so peaceful and the second is certainly gorgeous!
