Sentiment Only - No Image at MAWTT

I must apologise to Wendy and team A.  This post was scheduled for yesterday and I didn't realise until last night that it hadn't been published . I'm really not sure what happened but here I am at last, albeit a day late!

Good morning. It is my turn to host the challenge at MAWTT and as you can see I asked the team to use a quote/sentiment on their card with no image at all.  I just love to add quotes to my work and I much prefer it to images.  Please pop over to the blog and see what Team A have come up with for my challenge.

My Card

Recipe
5" x 7" white base card
pink pearlescent card - Crafters Companion
Hunkydory large topper - Quotes and Wisdom
ribbon and pearls from stash

A very simple card but with a lovely sentiment.

I hope you are all still enjoying the lovely weather.  Long may it last - but unfortunately it probably won't be too much longer before the weather breaks. Till then we'll just have to make the most of it.
I have been quite busy sorting things out in the garden and planting bedding plants and planters.

Well that's it from me.

Take care.

Quote Card

Hi

I said in my first post that I was a lover of quotes. I often use them inside a card but I think they can make quite an impact when the quote becomes the focal point of the card. So today I took one of my favourites and mounted it onto Spellbinders label 16.

I used ivory card from my stash and the same card for the quote which I cut with the Labels 16 and matted with mink coloured Bazzil cardstock.  The backing paper and striped ribbon are Papermania Lincoln Linen. Flowers from WOC, leaf spray is a Woodware punch and the butterflies are Marianne Creatables. Once I took the photograph I realised that the Zva pearl flourish got lost in the background so I will replace it with one that has bigger pearls. The lace from my stash was a fabulous buy.  I bought it some years ago from a shop that was closing down. The card held 27.6 metres and cost £1.50 - less than 6p a metre, reduced from 59p a metre. And we all know how much crafters love a bargain! Lol!

In the picture it looks as if I have matted the card lopsided, but it is just the angle I took the picture.  I need some photography lessons!

Well that's all from me so have a great day everybody!

love from Christine xx
