My Card

Just a nice simple card today. I used the Couture Creations embossing folder "Petal Pleasures" and matted it onto blue card and then a 5x7 inch card. I used some silk flowers that have been in my stash for years and fastened them together with a gem brad, which again has been hanging around for years. A few tiny blue gems added to the centre of the flowers finished it off. Sometimes less is more.
John is very busy at the moment because we developed a leak above the window in one of the bedrooms. Fortunately I have a very handy handyman! He just needed at least three good dry days in a row to erect the scaffolding (with a little help from his also handywife!), find the problem, remove the tiles, repair offending hole in roof felt and then replace tiles. Oh I forgot - some of the wood battens have rotted so they need replacing too. We built the house about 38 years ago so I guess it is starting to wear out - a bit like me! Lol! This is the nice weather he needed. Now I don't need to run upstairs every time it rains to see whether the rain is coming in. Mind you, it also means the bedroom needs repainting because the wall and ceiling around where the water was coming through are stained. Still, I think it was probably due anyway.
Well I hope you are all enjoying your day whatever you are doing.
Love and hugs from Christine xx

Gorgeous card Christine! Amazing what's been lying around for years, I've got some of these flowers somewhere too! Hugs x
Really lovely clean and simple card Christine. Houses always seem to need something done - you're lucky to have a handyman.
Lovely simple card Christine, really classy. Glad you got the problem with the window sorted sorted out too. Hugs Rita xxx
Lovely CAS card and the blue and white is very nice...a real clean look. Summer there and winter here although our weather is rather nice in the day but cold at night...enjoy your summer.xx
Super CAS card Christine - you are lucky to have a handyman, mine tries, but he just doesn't have the 'gift'! Carole Z X

Hi Christine,
fab card. I love that embossing folder you have used. Snap I had flowers like that and I put them on a shopping bag recently, but forgot to photograph it. Love the clean and simple design. I wish I could make clean and simple cards, I always seem not to be able to stop myself putting more and more onto my cards. I need to take a good lesson from you.
Good luck with your decorating. It's so nice to have a very handy man around the house. Your house sounds amazing fancy you both building it. Very clever couple you both are.
Have a wonderful crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
