OSAAT Challenge # 256 - Anything Goes With 3D

Good day to you all and I hope this finds you well.  Here is another challenge at One Stitch At A Time and this time we are asking you make a 3D project.  Now that could be a box, bag, pop up card - well, anything you like really just as long it is 3D.

(If you are looking for my offering for the Christmas Card Club
please scroll down to the last post.)

My Project

Recipe
Grey pearlescent cardstock - no name on pack
grey striped card -Buddly Crafts
standard circle dies - Spellbinders
Lacy Circles die - Spellbinders
image - Call Of The Wild
ribbon - from stash

For my project I have made a hexagon shaped box. I made a lot of these at Christmas and filled them with chocolates.  This one is slightly taller - room for even more goodies!!  No I'm not that greedy I just wanted to make the image a reasonable size without looking out of proportion. I have used the image Call of The Wild by Reeces Scrap Pieces and you can find it in the store here.  I used the pre-coloured image but there is also a line drawing included.

Please pop across to the blog and see the fabulous inspiration from the DT and hopefully this will encourage you to have a stab yourself.  You will then be in with a chance to win $10 to spend in the store.

Take care.

Icicles For The Christmas Card Club

Good morning friends and fellow bloggers.  Time to make a card  for the Christmas Card Club again and this time it was my lovely blog friend Kate's turn to choose the theme and as you can see she wants to see icicles.  Living where she does she has probably seen them recently ... lol! As usual I am a day early with my post.

My Card

Recipe
6" x 6" base card
Noble Squares - Sue Wilson
aqua pearlescent card - Pennies Worth
image - "Hope"  from The Paper Shelter
icicle die - Joycrafts
gemstones - Docrafts
peel off words - ancient stash (left behind when Noah boarded the Ark)

Such a simple card but I really like the effect - and flat for mailing so a bonus there.  I have had this image for a couple of years but never used it until now. I love the unusual colours. I didn't want to spoil the card by adding a sentiment so instead I raided my stash for some tiny peel off Christmas words and just dotted them around -  not easily seen in the picture..  There are actually icicles hanging from the twigs in her hair but again the picture doesn't really show them.  I die cut the icicle strip from glitter paper and then added the bling.

Well that's all from me today.  I hope this finds you all well.

Take care and keep warm!

Words Only - No Image - for MAWTT

Good morning to all my crafty friends and visitors.  Hope you are well and warm!! It is my turn to host the challenge at MAWTT and since I do love to use quotes and sentiments  I asked the team to make the sentiment the focal point and use no images at all.   Please pop across to the blog to see what the rest of the team have come up with.  You won't be sorry because there is some great inspiration for you.

My Card

Recipe
white card stock - Papermania
pink pearlescent card stock - Pennies Worth
embossing folder - SB Mbossabilities Framed Labels 18
flowers - Memory Box Fabulous Phlox
SB Labels 18
Sentiment - Quietfire Designs
 pearls from stash

I used the Papermania 300gsm cardstock to make a hinged card which is just slightly larger than 7" x 5" but will just squeeze into the envelope.  I used the letterpress technique and Tim Holtz distress ink to colour the folder before running the white card  through.  I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment before cutting it out with SB Labels 18. t was a simple job then to just diecut a few flowers and add the pearls.

We would love you to join in our challenge this time.

Take care!

Use Texture For The Christmas Card Club

Good morning and I apologise for my long absence.  Usually I am a  day early with my Christmas Card Club card but this time I am very late - an entire week!! Rachel was our hostess for this challenge and she has asked us to use texture on our cards.

My Card

Recipe
6" square base card - Rymans
lattice snowflake e/f - Creative Expressions
poinsettia e/f - magazine "freebie"
red and white  cardstock - Rymans
red foil card - from stash
white seam binding - from stash
tiny gold pearls - Meiflower

It wasn't easy to get a decent picture unfortunately. The light bounced off the foil and made it very bright, or the exact opposite and it was too dark.  I have chosen the best of a bad bunch.

Unfortunately although I do have some stencils, masks and texture pastes I don't have anything that would do for a Christmas card.  Instead I used two different embossing folders to give some texture and also ribbon and pearls.  Hope this is okay Rachel.  It has made me realise that I will need to get some Christmas masks though, so you have done me a favour!

Take care everybody and please keep warm and safe.

Love Is In The Air at OSAAT

Good morning to all my friends and fellow bloggers.  If you found your way here by chance you are very welcome and I would love it if you left a comment to say that you have visited.

Today is challenge #256 at  OSAAT and for my card today I am using the image Shy Girl from Barbara Jenson which you can find  here in the store.

My Card

Recipe
7" square card base - Anna Marie Designs
Backing papers - Papermania Capsule Collection Burleigh Blue
 (from a looong time ago)
Sentiment stamp - Lili of the Valley
Scalloped circle die - Spellbinders
Pierced Noble Rectangles - Sue Wilson
Candi - Craftwork Cards
Promarkers tocolour

For some reason, and totally unwittingly, my cards all seem to be turning out to be monochrome.  This was no different, but at the last minute I realised and added some lavender with promarkers. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark and then used WOW Bright White embossing powder.

If you would like to join us in our challenge, and it's coming up to St Valentines's Day so I'm sure you can find something to fit the bill, this is  what you could win.

Take care.
