The Natural World at Christmas for IAAS

Good morning and I'm here with my DT card for IAAS where the challenge is "The Natural World at Christmas - but no robins".

If you are looking for my Christmas Card Club entry then please scroll down to previous post.

My Project

This is a lantern made from John Next Door's large lantern die. I don't have this die but a friend of a friend very kindly die cut a number of lanterns for me. Our WI craft group was asked to decorate the windows of the Village Tea Rooms at Christmas and so I did some of these lanterns as my contribution.  Unfortunately I didn't take pictures before we set it up - then lock down came into effect and we  were unable to retrieve our projects. - until a couple of weeks ago. We have now been asked to do an Easter display too.

I decided that trees, deer, flowers, foliage and snow definitely fit the bill for the natural world at Christmas. Why not pop across to the blog and take a look at what my teamies have made and maybe join in our challenge.  We are a Just for Fun challenge so no prizes on offer I'm afraid.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Take care.

Christmas Carols for Christmas Card Club

Good morning on a very bright sunny and frosty morning in Oxfordshire. Today we have another challenge for our Christmas Card Club ladies. We are a little group who challenge ourselves to make at least one card every two weeks and one of us will choose a theme each time.  Today's theme of Christmas Carols was chosen by Rita.

I managed to make three cards this time so my stash is coming on well already. Again I am a day early with my cards and the other girls will be posting theirs tomorrow.

Card # 1

Card # 2

Card # 3

Three very quick cards today but they look pretty effective.  All made with one die and one pass through the die cutting machine. The first two were made with dies from Pretty Quick Designs which I bought last year from Craft Stash.  The final card is a Gemini die form Crafter's Companion. The first two carols are pretty easy to see since they actually state the name of the carol in the die cut itself and I thought the third one could be Away in a Manger.

Take care and have a good day.

Playing in the Snow for Christmas Card Club

Hi, I'm a day late with posting my CCC card but I had a DT card to show yesterday.

The theme, chosen by Lorraine, is playing in the snow.

My Card

This is a 6" square card. The topper is Jingle Bells from Pink Gems which I have had for many years. I computer generated the sentiment and added some snowflakes from my box of things I has already diecut. The backing paper is another old one from LOTV and I don't have a great deal left. yet another flat card for posting.

Take care.

Out to Dinner at IAAS

Good day to you all. It's time for another challenge at IAAS and this time we are going out to dinner, as chosen by Hazel.

My Card

I have used a Simply Print from Lili of the Valley which I have had for a number of years but felt it fitted the brief.  After all, even the birdies have to eat. This is a 5" x 7" card and matted with Presscut Stitch Dot Nest rectangles. A few snowflakes and a little glitter finished it making it a very simple flat fold card for postage.

Why not pop over to the blog and see the different takes on this challenge from my team mates? I think you'll find it interesting.

Take care and have  a good day.

Anything Christmas Goes at Winter Wonderland.

Good morning .  Time for another challenge here at Winter Wonderland.

Today's challenge is a tribute to Eileen, the former owner and coordinator of the Winter Wonderland Challenge, who sadly passed away suddenly at the beginning of 2017. We decided to continue the blog in  her honour.

Our sponsor this month is Fred She Said.

My Card

This is an A6 card made from white linen card stock. The image is Colourful Christmas Ornaments and this is one of the pre-coloured images.  I have actually made a set of six with different baubles.

I CASED this card from Kath, a blog friend, who makes the most wonderful CAS cards. Just click on her name to see her cards.

We would love to see you take part in our challenge. So why not get a head start on your Christmas cards this year?

Take care.
