Male card or Gift at International Art and Soul

Good morning.  Our new challenge at IAAS has been chosen by Jennie and she wants to see a card or gift for the male of the species. My card is for  my nephew who has a birthday later this year and he is a very good cook. The sentiment on my card will amuse him and I am well prepared for his birthday now - as long as I don't put it away and forget what I did with it.  Actually, I don't do that now since I have a box  for the cards I have made for specific people and another box for other cards.

My Card

This card is 6" x 7" so I needed to make an envelope to match. I used kraft card and cream card. i used Crafter's Companion "Hessian" embossing folder. I have the Hunkydory Book of Quotes which is where this image is from and the colour is perfect for males. The embellishments were just a few I had left over from another card and since they were suitable fro this I decided to make use of them.

Please pop across to the blog and check out the cards from my team mates.  If you are like me I always need as much inspiration for male cards as I can get.

Take care.

Humour for the Christmas Card Club

Rachel wants to see some humour in our cards this time. We do have the option of Anything Goes but I do like the challenge of doing something that I might not normally do.

My Card

This image from Beccy's Place really makes me smile and reminds me of how often those darn Christmas tree lights become tangled.  This is a 7" square card.  The scraps of Christmas tree lights card was in my snippets box and I cannot remember where it is from. I just fussy cut the light bulbs in the corner from some clip art which I printed onto a scrap of photo paper to give it some gloss.

Take care.

Winged Creatures at IAAS

Good morning.  I'm back with my DT card for IAAS. The theme of Winged Creatures was chosen by me this time.

My Card

If you are looking for my Christmas Card Club card
please scroll down to previous post.

I used a Hunkydory topper, from Feathered Friends I think, and made it into a 7" card. I mounted the sentiment topper onto a pink poinsettia which now looks nothing like a poinsettia.

Please pop over to the blog and you will see the amazing array of cards made by team mates. It's great how we have all interpreted this theme in so many different ways - which is exactly what I had hoped for.

Take care and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Robins for Christmas Card Club

Another two weeks have flown by and it's time for our little group to post our cards using the theme Little Robin Redbreast which was chosen by Margaret.

Card #1

Card # 2

The first two cards are from Craftsuprint.  Last time Lorraine showed a card using a CUP image and it reminded me that I have loads of images and not used them in ages. I went hunting and this is the one I decided to use.  It is actually a decoupage kit but I decided, in an effort to keep as many cards flat as I can, to use the decoupage to make a second card so they are the same - but not the same. The first one is 7" square and the second is 6" square.

Card # 3

My final card uses a digi stamp called Kissing Robins from JustInklined which I have had for about eight or nine years. It is such a cute image.

I hope you enjoy your weekend whatever you are doing.

Take care.

Winter Wonderland Peace on Earth

Good morning. Time for another challenge at Winter Wonderland. The theme, as chosen by Michelle, is Peace on Earth. We are sponsored by Sheepski Designs this month.

My Card

This is a six inch black square card and I die cut a frame using Pressscut Stitch Dot Squares.

The image is Winter Deer from our sponsor and the stamped sentiment is from Little Claire many years ago. I then just added a couple of snowflake dies  from The Works. A CAS card and flat for cheaper posting.

Why not go over to the blog and see the rest of the cards from the DT and maybe you will be inspired to join in with the chance to win three images of your choice.

I hope you all have a lovely Easter Weekend.

Take care

Animals/Birds at MAWTT

Good morning.  I hope you have been enjoying the beautiful weather the past three days  if you live in the UK .  March did what it's supposed to do coming in like lion and going out like a lamb.

We have another challenge for you today at MAWTT and it is to show birds or animals on your card.

My Card

I used a fox on a Christmas card which makes a nice change. The paper and topper are from the Paper Boutique's "A Whisper of Winter.". The pine cones are from John Next Door.

Why not pop across to the blog and see what my teamies have made for this challenge.

I can't believe just  how quickly time is passing. The whole of lockdown seems to have gone by so  fast - although my brother disagrees with me on that point. If people behave themselves than we can continue to take steps in ending the lockdown slowly but surely, so fingers crossed.

Take care.
