Use a Bow at IAAS

Good morning to you all. Well here is our final card at IAAS for 2020. The remit is to use  a bow. I hope the bow on the image will suffice.

my Christmas Club Card

My Card

Recipe
6" square base card
red and white card stock - Hobbycraft
tartan backing paper - Dovecraft "Twelve Days of Christmas"
Image - Lili of the Valley "Festive Foliage" art pad
Spellbinders circle and scallop circle dies
Holly corner die - Cheery Lynn
Sentiment - computer generated.

I used glossy accents on the bow and the berries and that was it.  A very simple card but quite effective  I think... and yet again another flat card.

Why not pop over to the blog and see what my team mates have made for this challenge?

Well that's it from me. Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Use Dies for Christmas Card Club

Here we are for our final challenge of the year for our Christmas Card Club. As you can see the theme is to use die cuts and was chosen by Shaz.

I am posting  a day early because I have a DT card to post tomorrow.

My Card

This is a 6" square white base card. The image is a really sweet stamp from LOTV, Angels With Crib, which I have had for years and not used for so long. I coloured it with Promarkers. It was then die cut it with SB Lacey Circles. I used Memory box Snowflake Corner and a Carla Craft punch for the snowflakes. The backing papers were from an extremely old C&C CD. I then just blinged it up with Papermania Shimmer Dots. If in doubt use lots of bling and glitter - you cannot go wrong with that at Christmas!! I didn't use a sentiment because of the script paper.

Anything Goes at Winter Wonderland

Good morning and welcome to our final challenge this year. at Winter Wonderland.  And what a year it has been for all of us!  Now the vaccine is here let's hope things will improve in 2021.

My Card/Project

Ceramic star

pizza box with belly band

I am secretary of our WI and we have not been able to meet since March.  To let our members know that we have not forgotten them the committee decided we would give each of them a goodie bag for every missed meeting.  This includes a little gift, a card,  and a quiz, word search etc. Since we have 53 members this has been no mean feat and since I am the only paper crafter and stamper guess who has done the majority of the work ... lol!

The card is a 6" square white card base and I used John Next Door's Sams Starz. The ivy is also John Next Door, cut in silver card and the poinsettia is from Britannia. They were all slightly different - different flower placement, different colour leaves, different number of leaves etc.  I ordered a custom stamp and used it on the cards, the ornament and the gift bags themselves so we made good use of it.  I also made a pizza box to hold the ceramic star and the star from JND on the belly band with the greeting.

The ceramic star is from Hobbycraft and took the stamp beautifully. A Tonic Nuvo drop pearl in each point finished it off. Hopefully they will be pleased with their memento of this terrible year. I must admit I was very pleased to get this project out of the way.  It has really been a marathon but they are so appreciative of what we do for them it is worth it.

Well that's it from today but I'll be back tomorrow.

Take care.

Winter or Summer Holiday Theme at MAWTT

Hello and I hope this finds you all okay. Well here we are at the end of the year and who would have thought that almost nine months have passed and we are still in some kind of lockdown - some of us more than others.  Fortunately we are in Tier 2 but it still won't make a great deal of difference to us we will just continue as we have been doing and only going out for shopping .  If it helps prevent the spread of teh virus I'm all for it!

Time for another card at MAWTT and Wendy has chosen the theme of holidays, either summer or winter.

My Card

This is a six inch square base card made from Ryman's card stock.  I printed the image on to a large piece of white card to make one layer of image and sentiment.  The image is from Ruth Moorehead and so cute. My brother and sisters and I used to love sledging when the snow came and we lived on a bit of a hill so it was ideal. The sentiment is from Sue Wilson. A few gems finished it making it nice and flat for posting.

Why not take a look at the blog and see what my team mates have come up with?

Enjoy your day.
