Birthday Card for International Art and Soul

Good morning.   This is my DT card for IAAS where our host is Crafty Girl and she would like to see a birthday card. Couldn't be simpler than that could it?

Please scroll down to previous post if you are looking for my card for the Christmas Card Club.

My Card

Recipe
6" square base card
topper - Little Claire Designs
papers -  "Petal Fresh" Lili of the Valley old stash
ribbon and pearls from stash
blue card - stash

A simple, fresh looking card  using some old LOTV papers.  I forgot to photograph the inside which said "..... it's your birthday", which I computer generated, but I think you've got the idea.

We are a "Just For Fun" blog but why not pop across and see if the DT can give you any inspiration?

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Take care and happy crafting.

Cosy and Cute for the Christmas Card Club

Good morning.  Here I am a day early with my card for the Christmas Card Club. Zoe has chosen our theme.  If we are unable to make a card for a particular theme we now have the option of Anything Goes.  I always follow the theme because, for me, I like the challenge of doing something I may be unfamiliar with.  My cards today are all cute but not so much cosy, so I hope Zoe is happy with that.

My Cards

Card #1

Easter

Good  morning and here I am again, this time with an Easter card. I don't do Easter cards; in fact I don't do cards for Valentine or Halloween either.  However, this is my DT card for International Art and Soul and the remit was to make an Easter card.

Please scroll down to previous post if you are looking for my Christmas Card Club card.

My Card

Recipe
7" x 5" base card
linen card stock
Helz Cuppleditch images

I used the same Helz Cuppleditch digi images as I did the other day for my Spring card. I fussy cut the Easter eggs from one of the papers.   A very simple card but it looks pretty.  I'll probably send it to my nephew's children now I've got it.

Please pop over to the blog to see what the cards and projects from the rest of the team.

Take care and enjoy what's left of the weekend.

Christmas/Winter Scene

Good morning.  Time once again for our little group to get ahead with our Christmas cards.  Shaz chose the theme and wants to see a Christmas or Winter Scene.  I have made two cards this time.

Card #1

Recipe
6" base card all white card sock - Rymans
blue pearlescent card - Limetree Crafts
digi image - Stitchy Bear Stamps (no longer in business)
Frosty Fir and Frosty Spruce - Memory Box
Icicles - Joy!crafts.
Noble Pierced Squares - Sue Wilson

I printed the image onto a piece of cardstock which I then folded into a 6" base card. The image comes in black and white but I digitally altered it to blue because it seemed to look more frosty and chilly. I die cut a border using the Noble Pierced squares and attached it to the base card with foam tape. Lots of glitter was added to the image and the trees and the icicles were sprayed with Crafter's Companion Pearl Diamond Spray and Sparkle, although it doesn't show up too well in the picture.

Card #2

Recipe
8" base card
all other card stock from stash
stamp - Snowy Village from Petulama (ancient!)
all tree dies - Memory Box
Frosty Snowflake Corner die - Sue Wilson
Noble Pierced Squares - Sue Wilson
sentiment die - Sue Wilson
snowflakes and deer - from my box of previously cut dies

I did a very similar card a couple of years ago but that was a six inch card.  This time I just added more layers and made it a very large 8" card.  Don't ask me why because the biggest card I ever do is 7" square! I stamped the image in black and then heat embossed it with pearl plum embossing powder which looks really good when the light catches it but not so good in the photo. I also added another Noble Pierced Square border.

I'm getting on pretty well with my Christmas cards so far so I'm pretty pleased with myself ... lol!

Well that's it from me today but I will be back tomorrow with another card so hope to see you then.

Take care and enjoy your weekend.

MAWTT has That Spring Feeling

Good morning and I hope this finds you all well.  We had a frost last night but it is bright and sunny this morning, albeit rather chilly.

Judith has chosen the theme for our challenge at MAWTT and she wants to see cards about spring. Spring is such a lovely time of the year and it is great to see the blossom on the trees right now.

My Card

For my card I have used papers and images from "Spring Blooms" by Helz Cuppleditch. This book comes in either hard copy or digital format.  I opted for the digital form because a) it is cheaper and b) you can print out more copies and change the size etc. It can only be bought on Etsy in case you are interested.

In this card I used a background paper, a large topper and a sentiment topper which I printed onto linen card stock and also used linen card stock to make the base card.  I fussy cut a couple of flowers and added some Nuvo drops to the centres.

Why not pop over to the blog and see what the rest of the DT have made for the spring challenge?

Take care.

Cute Christmas at Winter Wonderland

Good morning and I hope this finds you all well. We've had a couple of days of really heavy rain, but that's not a problem.  I didn't have to go out so just curled up in front of the log burner.

It's time for another challenge at Winter Wonderland.  Our sponsor is Imagine That Digi Stamp.

My Card

  Recipe
5" x 7" blue base card - Hobbycraft
white card to mat - from stash
silver glitter card - Crafter's Companion
digi backing paper - from stash
sponsors image - Christmas Owl

I used a pre-coloured image and superimposed it onto the digital backing paper and they were a good match for each other. Lots of glitter - well it is for Christmas - and some clear gems to highlight the stars.

Kris is offering the winner a $10 dollar coupon to spend instore - so what are you waiting for?  Why not pop across to the blog and see which images my teamies have used on their cards?  There are some great creations to give you inspiration.

Take care and have fun.
