OSAAT # 244 Anything Goes ....... With Four Legged Friends

Good day to you and thanks for dropping by. Hope you are all well.

I think my card today stretches the boundaries a bit since it is not the four legged friend that you can actually walk on a lead ... lol!  But some people love bees  - and we really need to save the bees!  As you can see this is the challenge for One Stitch At A Time.  I am using Bumblebrella from Stitchy Stamps which you can find here.

My Card

Ingredients
6" easel card base - cream cardstock from Rymans
Backing papers - ancient magazine freebies
Large daisy - Britannia rose die
Oval dies - JustRite Vintage Labels 4
Smaller daisies and leaves - Woodware punches
Promarkers to colour
Pearls - Hobby House

I was having a clear out about six weeks ago and these papers were about to become a casualty but at the last minute I changed my mind.  As soon as I saw the Bumblebrella image I knew these were the perfect addition. The Bees Knees sentiment was also part of the set and I just cut it down and then used the JustRite dies to cut the striped and the cream matting layers.  I fussy cut the butterfly and the two bees from the papers.  Some Flax glitter for the bees wings and daisy flower centres and job done.

We would love to join us in the challenge and this is the prize you could win.

Take care.

Climb Every Mountain

Well good morning to you.  I had a super time on Sunday with Ang at Stoneleigh.  We had a very long lunch break.  Didn't have a great deal to eat - we were too busy chatting!  I did buy some things but not enough to break the bank luckily.

My Card

Ingredients
White pearlescent  card - Jelly Bean Crafts
Platinum pearlescent card - Jelly Bean Crafts
Image - from internet diecut with Spellbinders Labels 1
Matting die cut - Spellbinders Decorative Label 1
Argyle embossing folder - Die'sire Embossalicious
Sentiment - Computer generated.
Pearls - from stash

I made a 6" x 6" card base from the white pearlescent card.  I decided to split the quote by starting it on the front of the card and then continuing it on the inside. Another card that was extremely quick to put together which was just as well.  I needed it on Monday morning but I was looking for a mountain stamp at the craft show since I have now used all three of the mountain images I have.  Unfortunately I was out of luck but I had found this image previously - just in case! So I had to make this card quickly on Sunday evening.

Well I hope you are all well.  We have been promised rain for a few days but so far it hasn't materialised.  My water barrels are all empty now so I will have to do my rain dance!!!

Take care.

Get Creative Challenges - Monochrome Pink

Good morning dear friends and fellow bloggers.  I am here today for the 3rd day in a row!  All or nothing with me!  Get Creative Challenges are being sponsored by  QKR Stampede and I am using the image  Rose Label which is so pretty.  I decided to make a fairly CAS card.

My Card

Ingredients
5" x 7" card base
pink card for matting - Papermania
pink spotted card - Anna-Marie Designs
Rose Label Image - QPR - Here
Sentiment - Computer generated
Coloured with Promarkers

This really was so simple.  I computer generated the sentiment before I printed the image.  After colouring with Promarkers I fussy cut it and added it to the card front.  Useful for many occasions I think - and flat for posting.

It would be wonderful if you could join us in our Pink Monochrome challenge this time.

Hope you are all feeling fit and well.

OSAAT Challenge # 243 Anything Goes with ... Sweet Treats

Good afternoon to you on my second day's post in a row.   It's time for another challenge at One Stitch At A Time and this time you need to make something that depicts "Sweet Treats".  I automatically thought sweets, chocolate, cakes - anything scrummy!   However, I could not find any food related images from my designer this time so I chose Sax Hamster from Sentimental Susan. I'm not a lover of these sort of creatures and I've never seen one up close so it was a bit of guess work when it came to colouring it. I decide to generate my own sentiment and make it fit the theme.  Well, lots of people find music sweet don't they!!!

My Card

Ingredients
6" x 6" pearlescent card made into easel card
Other cardstock - Bazill Basics
Seasonal Music e/f- DieSire Embossalicious
Music Melody stamp - Inkylicious
pearls from stash

I  realised after I had taken the picture that there is a pearl missing from the corner.  Since I actually glued them on and they never fall off I think I must have had a senior moment and forgot to add it!  But it's there now.

We would love you to join us in our challenge this time and I think it is a pretty easy theme so what are you waiting for?

Here is the winner's prize pack.

By the time this is published I will probably have spent a lot of money because I'm at the Great British Craft Festival at Stoneleigh, Kenilworth.  In fact I'm probably having lunch with Mrs Duck as we speak!!!

Take care and hope you are all well.

Christmas Card Club # 16 Lots Of Layers

Good morning everybody.  Time again for a card for the Christmas Card Club.  Hard to believe we are up to #16!  My Christmas cards are certainly mounting up nicely.  This time Lorraine asked us to show "Lots of Layers".

My Card

Ingredients
5" x 7" card base
white, red and red pearlescent card from stash
Snowflake Lattice e/f - Creative Expressions,Sue Wilson
Christmas Tree Greeting Die - Sue Wilson
A2 Bracket Borders One - Spellbinders.

This was such a quick and easy card to  put together.  I think I might simplify the layers a bit and use it for my bulk cards this year. ( I got five layers here - six if you include the base card!)  Mind you, I have said that with a few cards I have made so far!  I rarely used  traditional colours for my Christmas cards until the last couple of years but I have changed.  The red really does look very festive.  I won't be abandoning my non-trad colours altogether though.

If you have time please check out my sidebar for the blogs of my CCC pals and take a peek at what they have been doing but you will need to leave it until tomorrow.  I post my card early because this is the weekend I have three cards to post so I spread them out a wee bit.

Hope this finds you all well.

Crafty Time Challenge - Movie, Book or Song

Good morning. It's time for another challenge at Crafty Time Challenges .  This month our sponsor is Rick St Dennis  and the theme is "Movie, Book or Song".  This was a great challenge!  I am using the image "Joanie, The Flower Child" which you can find here.

As soon as I saw this image I climbed aboard the Tardis and was transported back to 1967, "The Summer of Love", and I was 17 again.  Now these are colours which you don't usually see me use, I am more a pastels girl - or purple!  But if you knew me back in 1967 you would have seen me wearing all these colours - mostly at the same time!!!  People needed to wear sunglasses when my very dear friend Hilary and I were out together.  And my hair was the same length but minus the fringe.  Ah, those were the days my friend!  (Cue another song by Mary Hopkin but a couple of years later!)

My Card

Ingredients
7" x 7" card by Anne-Marie Designs
other card stock from my stash
Labels 10 - Spellbinders
Dainty Dots e/f - Spellbinders
Britannia dies - Flourish Leaf Strip
Punched daisies - Woodware punches.
Pearls from stash
Card Candi - Craftwork Cards
Promarkers

Two songs sprang to my mind instantly; "Lets Go To San Francisco" by the English group The Flowerpot Men and "San Francisco" by the American singer Scott McKenzie. Oh to be young again but to have a little more fashion sense - but I really loved the bell bottom hipster trousers we used to wear!

Anyway I reluctantly traveled forward in time and I'm  back in 2015 again.  We would love you to join in our challenge and we look forward to seeing what inspired your project. The prize is two digis from Rick's shop.

Hope you are all well.  Take care.
