Things With Wings at International Art and Soul

Good morning and hope this finds you well. Our challenge at IAAS this time is "Things With Wings".  That gives a very wide spectrum - fairies, angels, birds, butterflies, bees etc etc etc. I chose the theme this time and for my card I used butterflies.

My Card

I was going through my stash and found quite a lot of Hunkydory which I have had for a long time. When I saw this, from the Flutterbye Collection, it was perfect.  The images were so lovely I didn't want to detract from them so I just added a couple of pearls to the front and a Sue Wilson sentiment to the inside.

My sister lives alone and throughout the last two years of lockdowns I sent her a card every week, with only one or two exceptions. She appreciated them so much so I still sent her a card every few weeks.  This is the one she received on Saturday.

Why not pop over to the blog and check out the cards from my team mates?

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Cats/Dogs for Christmas Card Club

Good morning and it's time once again for another card for our little club.  Sylvie chose the theme of cats/dogs this time.

My Card

This is a 5" x 7" red base card matted with cardstock embossed with a Sue Wilson folder. The cute image of the kitten in the Christmas tree is from my Greeting Card Factory Deluxe and matted with a red oval. The sentiment die is also Sue Wilson. Hope you have been enjoying the lovely spring weather, although I understand it is not the same around the country unfortunately. Ah well, that's Britain for you!

Take care and enjoy the rest of the Easter long weekend.

Using an Embossing Folder for Christmas Card Club

Good morning and an extremely cold and frosty one is too.

It's time for our little group of friends to make another card to get us ahead of the game  and have no panics in December. We just challenge ourselves and this time we are using festive embossing folders which was Zoe's choice.

My Card

This Cuttlebug embossing folder is the very first one I ever bought after I got my Cuttlebug die cutting machine all those hundreds of years ago - well it was probably about 2014! 😊 I still use my Cuttlebug because it is small and handy and useful if I want to to my Craft and Laugh group.

Hope you have a great day whatever you are planning to do.

12 months of Christmas LinkUp with Gift Boxes

Good morning and it's time for another challenge at the  12 Months of Christmas LinkUp.  Our challenge is always Anything Goes but we also have a twist each month.  The twist this month is to add one or more gift boxes to your card. It must be a card - we do not accept gift tags, album pages, boxes etc.

My Card

The image I used can be found here on Lisa's blog. It was  in collaboration with Romiposer 11 and included a different sentiment.  I used both the image and sentiment in a card a few months ago.

Why not pop over to the blog and check out the other creations from the Sleigh Belles team? Don't forget to re-visit on April 15th to see the cards from the Merry Maidens.

Take care and have a good day.

Baby Animals at MAWTT

Time for a new challenge at MAWTT and this time it is to use baby animals. I used a little artistic license here - a baby and a baby's teddy bear. This is a page from an album I made for my niece when her baby was born last year.

My Project

The album is 8 inches square and is in the style of a port folio. I used papers and elements from Nitwits- Baby Beautiful Neutral. You can also get it in Baby Girl and Baby Boy but my other niece is  pregnant and so I can use this set whether she has a boy or a girl.
