No Focal Image at IAAS

Good morning.  Time for my DT card for IAAS I found this quite a difficult challenge because to be honest, I didn't really understand it.   Anyway this is what I came up with. Hopefully my large 70 doesn't count as an image.

My Card

Recipe
6" square base card
John Next Door dies

I had to make this quite quickly for a friend and was asked to keep it flat for posting.

She was thrilled with the result - even though I missed adding the embellishments.  Didn't seem quite finished.

Anyway I hope you are all well.

Take care.

Candles for Christmas Card Club

Good morning on a bright but chilly morning. It's time for Rita's choice of card for this weeks CCC card. My card was made extremely quickly this morning so it is very simple. I looked at the wrong challenge and actually made a card for our next challenge instead of this one! Ah well, at least I am ready for the next one in two week's time.  Sorry Rita.

My Card

Unfortunately the picture is very poor. The dark red background is actually quite vibrant but looks drained on this photo. It is very sunny and was difficult to take a decent picture, but at least you get the idea.

I hope this finds you all well and coping during these strange and trying times.

Take care.

Hello

Good morning on this cold, bright Mothering Sunday.  Unfortunately families are not able to get together today but better afe than sorry.

Our WI has had to close and we are concerned about a number of our older members.  Of the 60 of us we have three over ninety and five in their late eighties who rarely miss a meeting.  We are keeping in touch with them by email, phone etc and I have just a made a card for each of them. I will be doing this at regular intervals just to let them know they are not forgotten.

My Card

Recipe
5" x 7" white base card.
lilac and purple card - Hobbycraft
embossing folder -Petal Pleasure from Couture Creations
flower die - Britannia Dies
sentiment die - Sue Wilson
Tonic crystal drops

Simple cards but just a way to keep in touch.  Unfortunately the photo does not show the lovely embossing.

Keep well and if, like me, you are confined to barracks keep busy.  I am sure we all have enough craft supplies to keep us going well past this emergency situation.

Using Green for IAAS

Good morning.  My card today is my DT card for IAAS where the theme is to use green. I don't use green too much but hey, that's what a challenge is all about isn't it?

Click HERE if you are looking for my Christmas Card Club card.

My Card

Recipe
7" x5" white base card
Darice embossing folder
small swirl - Memory Box
stitched pennants - SueWilson

I die cut the swirl from the white card and another from green card and then paper pieced the green one into the negative space.  In the picture it looks as if I have just glued the swirl onto the background but in real life it actually looks quite effective.

Why not pop over to the blog and check out what my team mates have made for the challenge?

Take care and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Christmas Wreath or Garland for Christmas Card Club

Good morning. Another two weeks have passed and it's time for another challenge for our Christmas Card Club. The theme is "Christmas Wreath or Garland" and was chosen by Lorraine. It's not actually due until tomorrow so teh rest of teh girls will be showing their cards then.

My Card

A very simple traditional card with just one layer added to a 6" square base card using Sue Wilson's Noble Pierced Squares.. The image is from my Greeting Card Factory programme and I managed to apply the stripes at the top of the image digitally too.  The problem is I play around with things and forget to write down the steps I took to achieve something. I then can't for the life of me remember how I did it and when I want to try it again I have to re-invent the wheel!

Well that's it from me today.  Take care and enjoy your weekend.

Anything But a Card for MAWTT

Good morning.  I've been chasing my tail this week and still haven't quite caught up with myself just yet. This card for MAWTT should have been posted yesterday so apologies to Diane Louise and my team mates.

My Project

I haven't made one of these bags for quite a few years and it took me a while to remember the measurements for the gusset. The cardstock is from an old First Edition pad. I use Spellbinders Grand Labels 11 dies and SB Oval dies to cut out the handle. The large butterfly die is an old Marianne die and I cannot remember where the two smaller ones are from.  The ribbon is from my stash.

Why not pop over to  the blog  and see what the rest of the team have made?

Well that's all from me today.

Take care and happy crafting.

Postbox for Christmas Card Club

Good morning.  A rather late start for me today - life really gets in the way sometimes.

ValeryAnne chose the theme this time and she wants to see postboxes.

My Cards

Two CAS cards today today for speed I'm afraid but they fulfil the brief and they both have the obligatory Christmas robins.

I'm so sorry for this extremely quick post!

Take care.
