Non-Traditional Colours

Good morning to you all.  It's time for another challenge at Winter Wonderland and it is my turn to choose the theme.  I have chosen Non-Traditional Colours, as you can see. Until the last year or so I never used the traditional reds and greens for my Christmas cards.  I just love something different.

My Card

Recipe
6" square base card
purple pearlescent cardstock - Jellybean Crafts
Starry backing paper - freebie from Bearly Mine but colour digitally altered.
Pierced Noble Squares - Sue Wilson
Marvellous Squares - Spellbinders
Christmas Stars - Signature dies from Joanna Sheen
Pearls from stash
Sentiment - computer generated

Our sponsor for this challenge is Crafts and Me and Theresa is offering an £8 voucher to spend in store.  Please pop across to the blog and check out what the rest of the Snowflake team have made.  Perhaps it will inspire you to join us.

We have been having some lovely weather and I have been spending quite a bit of time in the garden tidying things up and sorting out my pots etc. Mind you, we have also had some pretty cold days and Wednesday poured with rain in the morning although eased off a little later. It was a shame because we were having a fund raising Tea and Cakes in the Village Hall raising funds for our WI centenary early next year. Considering the weather we didn't do too badly, and lots of mums brought the kids straight from school which added to the numbers.

Hope you are all keeping well and enjoying life.  Another weekend on the horizon so I hope you have something good planned.

Take care!

Hi Christine, just enjoyed another non-traditional colored Christmas cards, now zipped in to feast my eyes on your pretty entry. Love the pearly sheen on this soft purple & lavender. And of course, that wonderful S/B that frames the sentiment. Glad you've been able to enjoy some nice gardening weather. Hope your wkend will be pretty days as well. Today we're having some good rain showers, after an overcast day on Thursday. Makes the grass grow! Hugs & TFS

Hi Christine
Any occasion is fine by me for a bit of lilac action. A lovely verse and the minimal embellishment is spot on as it gives the verse the attention it deserves.
Best wishes.
