Clean and Simple

Good morning friends

I bought a new Spellbinders die on Saturday and I have been playing with it.   Many years ago I used to do Lacé work and still have  a number of dies.   I loved the look of it but  it was extremely fiddly and sometimes you'd get right to the end and then your blade would slip!!!    Dis-ars-ter Dahling - as Craig Revel-Horwood would say!!  Anyway, when I saw this Spellbinders Diamond Strips and Accents I just had to have it!!  And it didn't disappoint.  I kept this card very clean and simple to show off the lovely cut and fold corner - but then I used lashings of pearls!!!!

This is a 6 x 6 card layered with a  pearlised pink card to show off the cut work.  I computer generated the sentiment, using Freehand 591 font , onto Labels 16 die.  I love this font and use it a lot.  The pink flower pearls were from WOC and the other pearls are from Hobbycraft.

I know Clean and Simple is not to everyone's taste but I've never been one who has to fill every little bit of space so I quite like it.  It has been very dark here today but I did my best with the photograph.

Have a good day everybody.

With love from Christine xx

Christine this is just awesome, love the pretty pastel colour and that die is very decorative just right for a CAS card.
I love that font too which reminds me to fish it out of hibernation.
Cheers for a crafty week.

Hi honey! Wow these dies certainly do make a card stunning! I love the peachy colour underneath and the tuck and fold corner - wow! The detail is stunning and so beautiful! I have spellbinder dies but I don't use many of them at all, I don't know why - I know the shame of it lol. Hugs xx

Morning Christine, sorry I'm late commenting trying now to catch up on the blogs.
Beautiful delicate pink and so fresh and clean looking. Your design is amazing and I have fallen in love with that die, another to add to my ever growing wish list.
I love the pearlised card you use in your designs the colours are so delicate can I ask where you obtain your stock from? I bought some ages ago,I think from Johanna Sheen, with papers to match and I have used up my favourite colours and I can't see them any more on her site.
Hope you are having an enjoyable Wednesday, just had OT visit.
Love & hugs Christine H xx

This is a glistening show of excellence. A beautiful showcase for the Lace effect corner. Like you I have done the Lace work but gave it up when my grip started to make it harder to do all the cutwork(from the damage to my spinal cord).
Anyway, I love this alot, especially Pink. I love the darker tones of teals and navy but at heart I am a girlie girl and love soft pinks.
Hugs Linda xx
