Christmas Card Club # 20 - Robins

Good morning - well it's only just morning.  Usually I am a day early for the Christmas Card Club Challenge but this time I am two days late.  Huge apologies to Sylvie who is our hostess this time and chose the theme of robins.  I know we have them in the garden all year round but I think this  cheeky little bird just shrieks of Christmas cards!

The reason I am late is because my nephew brought his mum and dad down for the weekend.  I haven't seen my sister since early April so we had a wonderful weekend!  The weather was absolutely glorious  and we were able to get out to Bourton on the Water on Saturday.  Sunday was the annual Banbury Canal Day.  The last couple of years has been a real wash out but this year was fabulous weather and we had a great day out.  Jeanie and I never stopped talking the entire weekend but it was so quiet last night after they had gone home to Billingham.  Ah well, soon be Christmas when we shall be together again. I think Darren was pretty tired because he only got home from Australia on the Tuesday then drove here Friday morning, having worked Wednesday and Thursday!!

My Card

Recipe
6 " card base made from cream card stock from WH Smith
same cream card for matting
tartan paper - a scrap from my box
Spellbinders - Petite Circles and Petite Scalloped Circles
Cheery Lynn - Holly Corner
Gems from stash
Promarkers to colour
Stamps - Magazine "freebie"

The two stamps were from the same set that I used last time which were included in Cardmaking and Papercraft .  That certainly was a good magazine inclusion since it comprised three stamps, two embossing folders and four foiled papers.

Well that's it from me.  Hope you are all well!  Take care!

Hi Christine,
what a wonderful Robin card.
Love the wonderful Tarten and your fab design.
My that was a lovely set to have.
I do love Robins so they are so cute on cards, and in the flesh.
Sounds like a wonderful weekend, and I know what you mean about talking when you haven't seen a sibling for some time.
Love and biggest hugs from my house to yours.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
